Chapter 241 - Birdman

Shi Yan surprised, knitted his brows while thinking.

Cui Bi suddenly hurried, clenched her teeth, and coldly said, “If I let you free, will you find me and take revenge in the future? I had captured you, used your own freedom to force you in catching the beasts for me. You will definitely hate me, won’t you?”

“Hate you?”  Shi Yan astonished, thought for a moment, then burst into laughter shaking his head. “Not really hate you, only a little discontented. If you had treated me in a friendlier way at the beginning instead of threatening me, I think I would have been happy to help you catch more beasts.”

Cui Bi’s eyes glowed, staring at Shi Yan without blinking. She seemed to have seen through his real thought.

Shi Yan’s eyes looked innocent, he slightly smiled. He was not startled by her stare, calmly said, “If you are more friendly, we can become friends, humph, I am human, and you belong to the Demonic Sound Clan, although it is a pagan race, it is ok for me.”

“I am Cui Bi, Yi Cui Bi, glad to know you. I hope you can consider me as a friend.” Cui Bi thought for a while, then comfortably stretched her white hand towards Shi Yan, sincerely saying, “Sorry for my rude behavior before. I hope you can forget it, now we shall start over again.”

“Shi Yan” Stretching his big hand, and lightly held Yi Cui Bi’s jade-like hand, Shi Yan gave her a bright smile.

“That was excellent.”

“Thank you.”

Yi Cui Bi cheerfully said, “Without your help, I think those demon children would have eaten me. After a particular time, many demon children are going out from the Sound Beast Mountain, considering us their preys. Like us hunting the sound beasts, Demon children also hunt us. By eating us, they can progress faster.”

Shi Yan was frightened.

“This demon child is the Demonic Sound Clan’s natural enemy. The demon child is progressing nonstop, not afraid of our clan’s soul attack, easily tearing our bodies into pieces.” Yi Cui Bi was still terrified. “Each time the Demon child goes to the Sound Beast Mountain, the Demonic Sound Clan stays inside the castle and does not dare to take one step outside. My father told me that the demon child and we were both deported to this place, those people brought the demon child here because they feared our Demonic Sound Clan…”

“Argh, I did not know anything about the story of your Demonic Sound Clan before, I don’t want to judge anything.” Shi Yan was silent for a moment before continued speaking. “But I myself absolutely have no prejudice against the Demonic Sound Clan. I treat everyone the same way, either of pagan race or humankind. If people treat me well, I will treat them the same way. If not, I will make them uncomfortable. “My father is one of the leaders of the Ancient Castle; the Demonic Sound Clan people are very unfriendly with humankind, you can recognize this. When you are still here, I will treat you like a servant so that others will not pay attention to you. I hope you understand”. Yi Cui Bi sincerely said.

“I understand.” Although Shi Yan did not like it, there wasn’t anything else that he could do, and reluctantly nodded his head.

“One more thing, I hope you only use just a small part of the Heaven Flame. It is better not to let other people in the Demonic Sound Clan see it. Otherwise, I am afraid everyone in the Demonic Sound Clan will disturb you.” Yi Cui Bi softly said, “To be honest, I had wanted to kill you recently. You released the Heaven Flame’s power to kill those sound beasts. However, our bodies undergo the same consequences; we cannot bear being burnt by the  Heaven Flame’s power…”

Shi Yan’s body startled.

“Do you understand how dangerous it is?”

Inhaling a deep breath, Shi Yan nodded his head, said, “I understand. If you do not control my soul, I can use the Heaven Flame power to kill all of you, is that right?”

Yi Cui Bi smiled agonizingly and nodded her head. “Yes, it is. So, if you let someone know about this power of yours, they will not hesitate to kill you right away. If not, once you progress to the point where you are not afraid of our soul attack, your existence will be a bigger threat to us than the Wings Race.  Anyway, this place does not have any specific icy weapon; we cannot prevent the invasion of the Heaven Flame. This is also the reason we have to return to our native land. It is said there is a secret weapon in our native land that can make the Demonic Sound Clan not to yield to the burning firepower or demon child’s carnage”.

“Hiss hiss hiss.”

Flows of gray smoke took turns flying out from inside the Sound Beast Mountain. When the gray yin flooded the area, many strange and peculiar sound beasts ran out from the mountain.

These beasts’ appearances were varied. Some were like Apes, with two curved horns on their head, some were like Tigons, some were like the Scale Amour Beasts, others had different specific shapes, all of them had furious icy yin. It might be that all the sound beasts dwelled inside of the Sound Beast Mountain, this was also good knowledge for the cultivation of the Demonic Sound Clan.

“My god, so many sound beasts are coming out, it seemed the restriction spell has actually gotten weaker.” Yi Cui Bi fearfully screamed. “Not good! The commotion of those sound beasts is too big, it will definitely disturb the Wings Race, perhaps they are coming now. No, I have to go back now to inform my father about this.”

“Those sound beasts do not dare to come here.” Shi Yan smiled, “Humph, let me retrieve the Heaven Flame power first. If the Heaven Flame energy is still there, those sound beasts will be good. If we want to hunt more sound beasts, we should pretend to be weak for a little bit so that they will take the bait.”

Each stream of burning fire turned out to be a light current going into the blood vein ring from every corner, which was retrieved by the Earth Flame.

The burning firepower was slowly being poured into the blood vein ring, Shi Yan’s blazing red body quickly recovered.

Not long after that, there was no burning fire around Shi Yan anymore.

A flock of sound beasts on the Sound Beast mountain side was staring at Shi Yan strangely, but they hesitated to move forward and seemed to know that it wasn’t easy to bully Shi Yan.

Each flow of lightning hovering around the sound beasts was getting weaker without knowing why. The tremendous lightning like a giant dragon gradually became smaller like an arm.

“The restriction spell is constantly getting weaker!” Yi Cui Bi was very astonished. “Abnormal, really abnormal. There should be something definitely strange happening. If not, the Sound Beast Mountain cannot be peculiar like this.”

“Whoosh.”

There came an echoing shriek from the left of the Sound Beast Mountain. Not long after that, many black points appeared on the left of the Sound Beast Mountain.

“Birdman!”

Shi Yan squinted looking carefully, panicked replying, “No, is this the Wings Race like you have described?”

A bunch of black dots appeared in a distance that looked like humankind with all kinds of wings. The differences between them and the others were the wings growing from their backs, and the incredibly sturdy body shape.

Five men from the Wings Race, who had a cruel, wicked appearance, hooked nose, cold eyes, beat their wings flying out from behind the sound beasts, hastily coming toward Shi Yan’s place.

“They are the Wings Race people.” Yi Cui Bi nodded her head, knitted her brows tightly. “Perhaps the commotion of the sound beasts has disturbed the Wings Race. Humph, they themselves were also affected. I think the people in the Ancient Castle may also know already; perhaps they are on the way to come here.”

Five guys of the Wings Race beat their gray wings, quickly zooming to their place.

Not long after that, five men from the Wings Race arrived in front of Shi Yan.

Five people were glancing at Shi Yan from a distance; their cold eyes were even ice-colder. One of the men leading looked at Shi Yan unfriendly smiled rigidly in a sudden and said,

“Humankind, unexpectedly!” Five people of the Wings Race were at the ground level stage. Their gray wings projected spiritual power.

However, their soul power was weak; even their spiritual power had not been formed yet, they obviously couldn’t be compared to the Demonic Sound Clan’s which had confined the Shi Yan’s sea of consciousness in a blink.

But the strange thing was that the brain structure of the Wings Race was very special. It seemed to be able to prevent the invasion of spiritual powers, like a soul isolator. Shi Yan’s emitted spirits could not intrude into their brain area.

Perhaps the Wings Race had difficulty in cultivating the soul power because of their brain structure. The special brain structure enabled them to have a fairly good protection against the soul attack of the Demonic Sound Clan, but this also limited them from improving their soul cultivation.

“What about the humankind?” Shi Yan looked calm, a smile appeared at the corners of his mouth, coolly asked.

The Demonic Sound Clan’s soul attack could confine his soul, so he was honestly obedient.

The Wings race had a sturdy body, strong protection against the soul attack; they were the enemy of the Demonic Sound Clan. But to Shi Yan, it was nothing remarkable.

Being in the same Earth realm, without using the power of the Ice Cold Flame and the Earth Flame, Shi Yan was confident to be able to defeat those five guys.

“I hate humankind!” The man from the Wings Race coolly smiled, suddenly saying “Answer me, how did you come here? How many of your fellows are here? If not, I will let you know in advance that entering the Wings Race territory is a fearful thing.’’

“When did this place become the Wings Race’s territory?” Yi Cui Bi coldly shouted.

“Haha, even the Ancient Castle of the Demonic Sound Clan belongs to the Wings Race. Obviously, this place is not an exception.” The guy’s face looked arrogant.

“Are you Cui Bi? You wait and see, soon the Wings Race will conquer the Demonic Sound Clan. Up to this time, you will become my slave. I will favor you. I know the Demonic Sound Clan’s body cannot bear such a strong violation of your body. I will make sure every orifice of your body will be used, though I will be very gentle with you, and will not kill you.”

Yi Cui Bi’s body slightly shivered, was lividly angry, looked at that guy with eyes full of hatred.

“Birdman, your mouth stinks!” Shi Yan coldly shouted.

“Damn humankind, what did you call me?”

“Birdman!”
