Afterword
Hello again, it’s Miya Kazuki. Thank you very much for reading Ascendance of a Bookworm: Part 3 Volume 5. This concludes Part 3.
This time, Rozemyne’s ruelle gathering goes off without a hitch thanks to Ferdinand and Karstedt helping out. She obtains all the ingredients needed for her jureve, but as she’s jumping for joy about finally getting to be healthy, everything falls apart.
Wilfried falls for a trap set by nobles during the hunting tournament while Rozemyne is traveling around for the Harvest Festival. She works her head at full capacity to think up a way to save him, ultimately managing to maintain the status quo as far as the public is concerned. But as for reality...
In the midst of all this, Charlotte appears for the first time. Rozemyne does her best to show off to her first little sister but ends up getting kidnapped, resulting in her needing to sleep for two whole years.
The short stories in this volume cover some of the things that happened while Rozemyne was unconscious; a lot changes in the castle, the temple, and the lower city. The two newly written ones are from the perspectives of Damuel and Ella, with both focusing on the conclusions to their respective romances.
A second popularity poll will be held to commemorate the end of Part 3. The biggest surprise to us on the publishing side was Damuel getting third place last time. I wonder if we’ll see another surprisingly popular character this time around, too? I can’t wait to find out.
The cover art for this volume shows Rozemyne trying to stop Charlotte from being kidnapped, while her grandfather and Angelica rush to save them. Bonifatius appears in the color art, too. It’s raining grandfathers! Charlotte’s also so cute that my heart thumps just from seeing her. Shiina You-sama, thank you very much.
And finally, I offer up my highest thanks to everyone who read this book. May we meet again in Part 4 Volume 1.
