Battle Emperor - Chapter 79

The Black Wind bandit group’s mountain stronghold is located on a hill known as the Black Wind Hill, on the south side of this hill, there is a cliff that quite steep, together with the east and the west of the two adjacent mountains, it can be said that the terrain is very strategically located.

Xie Aoyu walked slowly, to ensure that Li Chaofeng and the others have enough time. 

As he walked, he collected the stones along the way.

This immediately brought to the attention of the other small fry; they draw their bow, ready to shoot arrows.

Xie Aoyu march forward, as all the stones were sent flying.  Along with sounds of wailing that could be heard clearly, on both sides of the underbrush, behind a boulder, on top of dense trees, a man fell down on the ground. He probably fainted dead away, either way, the groan of anguish continues.

Xie Aoyu move forward leisurely. 

Every 20 meters ahead, there will always be bandits of the Black Wind obstructing the way. 

This tight level of security implemented after they captured the Prince, Tucks who his feeling recently has been mixed with anger, and fear, has taken this step as an extra precaution, but apparently Xie Aoyu’s stones appeared to be more deadly.

Xie Aoyu then stand firm, girding up his loins, he shouted loudly: “This is a robbery!”

The beardy guy nearly choked to death. 

The eyes of all the bandits who were there bulged wide, as if they saw Xie Aoyu as an idiot. 

“Boy, you are courting death! ” The beard guy spoke. 

Based on what he has learned from fatty, the image of the leader of the Black Wind bandit group, Xie Aoyu was able to conclude that the man before him was Tucks, the bandit’s leader. 

“I who is the most formidable and the most handsome man, the pillar of the Empire in this whole continent, the most promising one of the younger generation, you dare to say that I courted death , I think you might have a brain disease. ” Xie Aoyu applied delaying tactics, to secure time for Li Chaofeng , Bing Wu , and others as much as possible . 

“Die!” Tucks who recently haunted by fear and feeling on the edge, finally losing his patience and wanted to vent his rage against Xie Aoyu. He lifted his spear and rushed out.  

As he gets closer, Xie Aoyu turns his wrist.

As a matter of fact, he was also intended to use the token, to fake his identity, but the fat guy previously mentioned, when that Black Lotus’s person came at a certain time, he dealt with this Tucks guy alone, so they both should have some codes to verify the identity of each other or something like that. No one knows, so he can only choose this token as a tool to stall for time.  

Tucks hurriedly said respectfully: “Greeting the great sage messenger.”  

And sure enough that there is still a lot of things that fat guy does not know, this Xie Aoyu so called good insurance, that fatty never told him about the name of this sage messenger before, so the clueless Xie Aoyu can only let out an “En”, and said “I was really disappointed in your performance.”  

“I, I, seek for the great sage messenger’s wisdom.” Tucks said.  

“Well then, let’s go.” Xie Aoyu replied indifferently. 

Tucks responded with his loud voice, and with a wave of his hand, the gateway routes into this stronghold of bandits open automatically.  

Xie Aoyu took a couple of steps, and went inside.

“O great sage messenger, about the token……” Tucks whispered. 

Xie Aoyu coldly said: “Talk about it later!” 

With a head full of question marks, Tucks follow Xie Aoyu into the mountain stronghold.

Upon entering the main hall of the mountain stronghold, Xie Aoyu sit on the tiger-leather chair located at the middle, looking so unrestrained and majestic. 

Tucks have already instructed all the people who are there to leave. Now, there are only two of them in the main hall. 

“Great sage messenger, can I see the token?” Tucks started to open his mouth again. 

Xie Aoyu took out the token and throws it towards Tucks, while he remained cautious. 

After receiving the token, Tucks examine it seriously, and then he knelt down with one knee, as he respectfully said: “This Black Lotus’s sacred church’s junior-disciple, Tucks, paying his respect to senior, the messenger of God.” 

The Black Lotus’s sacred church? 

As it turns out, this mysterious organization called the Black Lotus is a sacred church. Xie Aoyu cannot help but secretly mumbled in his heart, as why did he call me the messenger of God? Does this indicate that I as this token holder have a higher position than the man who had come here before? 

Tucks stand up, but his expression turned cold as he said, “Who the hell are you?!” 

When Xie Aoyu heard that, he knew that there was something wrong somewhere, but he could not see where the problem is, “Such insolence, is this how you talk to your messenger of God?” 

“You’re not the real messenger of God!” Tucks pointing his finger towards Xie Aoyu, and shouted furiously. 

“How would you know that I am not the real messenger of God?” Xie Aoyu controls the tone of his voice. 

Tucks sneered: “If you really are the Black Lotus’s messenger of God, seeing my face, why don’t you show me the black lotus’s seal, instead of just came up with the token to confirm your identity.” 

(T/N: the sentence above got me pretty confused because the author used 印记(seal/mark/stamp), and then he used 令牌(token) which synonym with the word mark but I think it was because Xie Aoyu only showed to him a medal plate(the token) after he knelt down, while what he needs is actually a stamp/a seal)

Xie Aoyu rubbed his nose. Bing Wu, Li Chaofeng and others, they should have discovered the Prince by now. Xie Aoyu then let out a hollow laugh and said: “You are quite wise; however, I was just about to makes you understand my status clearly. Actually, you and I have something in common…..that is to take something by force!
