“You are such a gutless coward . ” Shanggguan Minhao said ironically and unkindly .
“According to my knowledge of our dad, I bet you will also be punished as the accomplice . ” Replied the young man contemptuously . He didn’t took Shanggguan Minhao’s ridicule seriously while, on the contrary, his reply made Shanggguan Minhao change his color .
“You guys are having fun here!” Jing Yue walked to them slowly, whose coming immediately drew their attention and made them turn to her . However, everyone looked shocked and confused when they found the coming girl was so young and ordinary .
“OMG . Jing Yue, how come you are here, too?!” Shangguan Linglan looked quite delighted when she saw Jing Yue . She ran to Jing Yue happily .
“I asked Xiao Chen to take me here, because I heard you would be here . ” Jing Yue said with a big smile . “What are you guys doing here? A tournament of fight?”
“Humph . That’s not a fair tournament at all . They bullied me by dint of their big brother roles!” Shangguan Linglan said with a wronged tone .
The words of Shangguan Linglan made Shanggguan Minhao and the handsome young man look a bit embarrassed . They touched the tips of their noses without saying anything . Shangguan Linglan held Jing Yue’s one hand and said to her, “Let me introduce . This is Shanggguan Minhao, my third older brother . And this is Shanggguan Jinghao, my fifth older brother . ”
“Nice meeting you, big brothers . ” Jing Yue smiled with her eyebrows curved and extended her respect . The handsome young man turned out to be the fifth older brother of Shangguan Linglan!
“This is Jing Yue, my best girlfriend . You guys aren’t allowed to bully her!” Shangguan Linglan held her chin high arrogantly and said .
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Sister Jing Yue . I’ve heard so much about you from Linglan . I can finally meet you in person today . ” Shanggguan Jinghao grinned at her . His bright and innocent smile made Jing Yue smile as well .
“Did she speak ill of me behind my back?” Jing Yue pretended to glare at Shangguan Jinghao shockingly and asked .
“Excuse me?! Do I look like a back-stabbing person?” Shangguan Linglan got angry suddenly by Jing Yue’s words and glared at Jing Yue indignantly .
Jing Yue nodded her head seriously .
“Ha-ha-ha…” Shangguan Jinghao burst out laughing all of a sudden when he saw the angry face of Shangguan Linglan . Shangguan Minhao smiled as well, but didn’t laugh out loud . Though others didn’t know Jing Yue’s identity, he had recognized her . She was the wife anointed by Ninth Imperial Uncle
Shangguan Linglan talked with Shangguan Minhao for a few words, and then hurried out of the tent with her hand holding Jing Yue, leaving those vulgar men behind .
“How can you come here? I know that ladies from official families are not allowed to be here, right?” Jing Yue turned to Shangguan Linglan and asked her, as they walked shoulder by shoulder on the way .
“Hee hee…” Shangguan Linglan laughed up her sleeves and said, “I kept pestering my father until he agreed . My mother was close to the Empress Dowager, so I got the privilege to come here with my father to broaden my horizon . ”
“I see…” Jing Yue nodded her head slightly .
“My father has to be with the emperor and protect him all the time, so he sent my two older brothers to come along and to protect me . ” Shangguan Linglan shrugged her shoulders and said, “It’s just a hunting game, right? There’s no need to protect me at all; after all, I am not a weak woman . ”
Shangguan Linglan curled her lips unhappily . Obviously, she had been forbidden to do a lot because of the protection to her .
“Security can’t be absolutely guaranteed here . It’s still necessary to protect you in case of emergency situation . ” Jing Yue said with her eyebrows frowned . “Safety comes first in any situation . Moreover, you are the only daughter in your family!”
“Hey, we’ve talked enough about me . Let’s talk about you . ” Shangguan Linglan and Jing Yue sat on the grass outside of the tent and kept talking .
