Bloom - Chapter 2

Chapter 2: Ming Zhu

Liang Fei Fan was sitting on the sofa holding a wine glass. His fingers gently follow the rim of the wine glass, a habit of his when he is impatient. Rong Yan flatters him, “Elder Brother, I told my men to urge her. They said that she’ll come.  How about we get this gathering going first?”

Liang Fei Fan casted him a glance, and then closed his eyes not speaking. Soft lights overshadowed his handsome face. The pressure dropped down more and more, and the surrounding brothers started to have cold sweat. It was the “must have” anniversary celebration of the entertainment building.  They have already waited for one woman for more than one hour, making every boss sit in wait foolishly, not knowing how to ridicule this situation.

Rong Yan who was secretly depressed thought Gu Yan, this woman, and him does not mix well together.

“Come Come, Yan sister!” Qin Song’s octave voice drew everybody’s attention as Gu Yan arrived.

The server politely opens the door as she calmly walks in. Her long hair is pulled into a simple hair style.  She wore no jewelry on her neck or hands.  She wore a luxurious black princess gown, with simple black layers, that barely covers her knees. The lining against her slender calf makes it even more shiny and smooth. The skirt emitted a sweet odor giving her an additional gracefulness. She hasn’t even put on makeup and as she was standing in the dazzling hall, she emitted a charm that makes people see her right away at one glance.

Liang Fei Fan stood up, walked toward Gu Yan, held her in his arms blocking her face full of various emotions, and waved his hand, “Let’s start.”

After three round of drinks, Li Wei Ran smiled carrying two glass of wine, “Little Yan Yan, today you made me wait miserably, you must drink as punishment!”

Gu Yan in Liang Fei Fan’s embrace, absent-mindedly looked at him, “I will not.”

“Hey—this is wine.”

The surrounding men laughed. Gu Yan understands clearly that this is for them brothers to outrage their injustice. They think that she didn’t give them face? But they did not think that it was their brother who had excessive energy to toss her around last night only to fall asleep after a few hours and rush here. Both her legs were still aching and she would also like to complain.

“I think your eldest brother still wishes to punish me?” She looked up at Liang Fei Fan smiling sweetly, making her snow white lips even more plump and rosy, “Isn’t that so, Fei Fan?”

Upon Gu Yan’s bright and wandering eyes, Liang Fei Fan does not remove his gaze. Feeling a little faint, his eyes’ blood vessels beat. The kind of involuntary feeling comes again as sexy thin lips press down for a weak and long kiss. A meddlesome group of people with loud voices boo.

“Alright, I finished my punishment. Your turn.” Gu Yan arose carrying a large bottle and asked, “Just now, what did you call me?”

“Yah, Sister Yan……” Li Wei Ran sees the situation go wrong, and quickly turn for the hills, “Elder brother, look, I momentary spoke too fast ……”

The beauty offered a kiss, putting Liang Fei fan in a good mood. He raised his eyebrow, embracing Gu Yan and faintly smiles, but does not speak. Clearly showing that he is just watching the bustling scene. Rong Yan with Chen Yu Bai on the left and another one on the right supporting the struggling Li Wei Ran said, “Lao five (way of calling someone with affection in a brotherly way), don’t blame us brother, go on!” The pouting Li Wei Ran drinks the wine and glared at his brothers who have no loyalty, causing everyone to burst out in laughter.

“So lively here!” A pleasant sounding female voice outside the circle echoes. Li Wei Ran hurriedly using all his strength to throw off his left and right guard, and even crawling across the floor shouted, “Ming Zhu sister, help me-ah!”

Gu Ming Zhu wearing a pink dress (cheongsam), and delicate fine makeup accommodating the bright colors asks, “Wei Ran, how come it’s you again? Don’t you know no good deeds goes unpunished (the shot hits the bird that pokes its head out (idiom)). You see both Rong Yan and Chen Yu Bai are well behaved and never go provoking a quarrel.”

“Sister.” Gu Yan with a proper complexion on her face, stood up and respectfully called her.

Gu Ming Zhu nodded slightly, expressing that she heard it. She crossed over to Liang Fei Fan’s side and sat down, “CEO Liang, Congratulations.”

Liang Fei Fan slightly frowns because his embrace was sudden empty, but politely smiles, “Many thanks.”

“Let’s find a quiet place to talk.”

They talked and talked for about two hours.

Gu Yan leaned on the window watching the fireworks show, thinking if she should tell her sister that she wants to follow her home to see her dad later? She’s so busy, but she hasn’t come home. Father…… she is afraid he will not see her.

“What are you thinking about?” Ji Nan hits her head.

“I’m thinking about if I want to go to work tomorrow, Chief Ji.” She beautifully smiles.

“Nevermind, just take it as I didn’t ask.”

Gu Yan works at Ji Nan’s foreign trade company sometimes from nine to five, but if she is not willing to work she will ask to take a few weeks off as vacation. Company gossip says she is Ji Nan’s lover, so Gu Yan installed webcams at every corner in the company. When she is in a bad mood she will find two gossipers to give them a hard time, enough for the whole company to feel anxious. Ji Nan’s finances report is becoming more and more of a tragic sight because of the staff turnover. Whenever Rong Yan has time, he will also come to see the lively scene. Because of this Ji Nan will ask her to go back.  She would give her the boss position by giving her money to open her own new company.  But grudgingly Gu Yan is just not willing to move。

“Ji Nan, I am thinking about my father.”

Ji Nan lightly says in an exclaimed tone, “Just thinking is good, don’t go back. To meet in person is not the same as reminiscing.”

Gu Yan creased her lips sadly.
