Chapter 25

The Crisis on the Horizon .

The morning sun glared, the east was white, and the deep sky shook off the dark blue veil that hugged the earth .

“I don’t know the two Fire Dans, how can I train my body?” . Ye Chenfeng soaked himself in a secluded deep in the Baiyun Mountains . He found a fire from his arms and without tempering it directly swallowed the energy into his stomach .

As soon as the fire was absorbed by Ye Chenfeng’s body he immediately released the heat and it burned his body . Regardless of already having experienced swallowing the fire, the pain it caused instantly drained all the blood from his face and turned him pale .

Ye Chenfeng took a deep breath, resisting the burning sensation inside his body he began to draw the Six Pulse Gods, and melted the hot elixir released by the fire into his bodies cell, transforming his body .

The effect of the fiery smelting of flesh was obvious, but this process turned out to be painful . Ye Chenfeng’s veins were burned by the hot energy of the heat and suffered pain that no mere mortal could tolerate .

There was only one blue vein that could be seen from his forehead, and there was no trace of blood in his face .     

The cold pool of water where he sat somewhat offset the pain and allowed Ye Chenfeng to be stronger .

“The next item is the Soul Crystal, swallow it . ” .

Ye Chenfeng clenched his teeth tightly, his hand clenched into fist, he approached the soul at high speed . He swallowed the two lower Soul Crystals held in the palm of his hand, which expediated the process .

With a lot of power, the soul melted into Ye Chenfeng’s body . His cells splitting exponentially with large amounts of physical impurities being discharged through his open pores .

Gradually, the pain decreased as Ye Chenfeng’s body became stronger and stronger .

About five hours passed and Ye Chenfeng had finally succeeded in absorbing the full power of the Dan and the two souls that he held in the palm of his hand were filled with soul power .

Having almost collapsed, Ye Chenfeng climbed out of the white pool through the thick smoke, sensing the change in his body and muttering to himself .

The body had been tempered by two-thirds and its resistance had been greatly improved . After only a dozen breaths, Ye Chenfengs feeling of weakness had been swept away .

The cells throughout his body absorbed the energy of the world and greatly restored his physical strength .

“I hope that the remaining fire Dan can help me finish the transformation of my body” . Ye Chenfeng took a deep breath and began to absorb the remaining power of the two souls, adjusting his mindset in preparation to take the last fire .

It was just as Ye Chenfeng was hiding in the Beiyun Mountain Range and struggling to further enhance his body that the assassin dispatched by the Jiang family quietly entered Baidi City, preparing for the assassination of Ye Chenfeng and the kidnapping of Ji Dianxue .

“I was embarrassed on the day, I hadn’t expected that Lian Sanjun would trap Chenfeng . You and Chenfeng don’t mind right?” .

Bai Xiya said this apologetically as they she and Ji Dianxue strolled down the Qingshi Road in Baidu city . As Ye Chenfeng was not present there wasn’t much to do apart from shopping down the boulevard .

“Don’t worry, I won’t bother Chengfeng . ” . Ji Tixue revealing a fascinating smile when whispering this .

“Regarding Qingxue however, what kind of person is Chenfeng?” Bai Xiya whispered, wondering what more information could be drawn from Ji Dianxue .

What Bai Xiya didn’t know however, what that Ji Dianxue did not understand Ye Chenfeng . They had lived together for a lifetime but to her, it seemed as if just a moment .

“Chenfeng’s character is somewhat abrasive . He is perhaps too masculine, but… . He does give people a sense of security…”

Ji said this slowly, realising that when she talked about Ye Chenfeng she smiled unconciously . She disregarded the thought immediately .

As they spoke, they were heading towards to outskirts of Baidi City . The White Lake of Reeds .

There was a gently breeze that gave them a refreshing feeling and somehow made their hearts be more relaxed and comfortable .     

They squatted for a moment and suddenly, eyes focused like a dart .

“What is it?” .

Bai Xiya did not feel danger due to her strength, but she was aware of Ji’s doubtful expression as she asked nervously .

“Xiya, don’t talk, come with me quickly . ”

Just as Ji Jinxue stepped up, she absorbed an impact from a powerful soul and almost held it in her hand .

“Two beautiful women like you, looking so anxious . Where do you want to go in such a hurry?” .

A cold, snake like voice had caught the pair on their hasty return to Baidi City’s bustling streets .

The next moment, four men dressed in black, with black veils covering their faces and fours swords the colour of silver appeared in front of them .

The heavy presence of the four made the women feel almost trapped .

“Who are you? And what do you want?” .

Upon making eye contact, Bai Xiya’s face changed, forcing her from calm with her letting out a scream .

“You can rest assured, that as long as you cooperate with us, we will never hurt you . ” . Said the man who appeared to lead the group without a trace of affection .

“You were sent by Jiang’s family?” . Ji Dingxue asked without hesitation . It was certain that the four together had the strength at the level of a Sixth-Level spirit .

Who would dare to kidnap these women . In the entire Zijin country only Jiang Jiagan would attempt such a thing .

“You talk too much nonsense . If you are not obedient, then we will have to be a little bit rougher . Don’t say that I didn’t warn you . ” .

The leading man said this coldy, aware of the sharp sword held within his grasp he took a few steps towards Ji Dianxue .

“Xiya, we’ll rush them” . Ji Dianxue knew that once they were taken, they would be in danger of losing the Soul Beasts .

Ji Dianxue drew the power of the Ice Bird and Bai Xiya in the realm of the four-level spirit beast also drew the power of the Soul Beast White snake, blending the power into their bodies to increase their own strength .

As Ji Dianxue screamed the pair flew like flying arrows, rushing out and trying to break through .

The leader of the kidnappers saw that Ji Dianxue and the two women were attempting an escape . He immediately jumped into the air . The long sword he held mapped out a blue light . The sword broke through the layers of air and forced the pair to change direction . Impeding their escape to dodge the attack .

With the surviving kidnapper still in mind, the two women made off without a second thought . They made their way into the Baiyun Mountains which had, by nightfall become treacherous and difficult terrain .
