She increased her pace and Lu Yinan became worried. He was afraid that someone would bump into her or that she would slip and fall.

He caught up with her and grabbed her elbow, frowning. “Zhou Shuang, can you be more gentle?”

Zhou Shuang smiled coolly. “Yes, you men love a gentle woman. Once you piss them off, you won’t know what hit you.”

Then she rolled her eyes at him and shrugged his hand. She continued walking.

Lu Yinan followed closely behind her. He raised his eyebrow and asked with a smile, “Isn’t it a known fact that timid women are more attractive to men?”
