Chapter 11: The new world of living together (1)

The afternoon passed really boringly, in the evening Jiang Li continued to eat my dinner shamelessly, I being kind and honest, did not say anything.

At night I was still the same person who tried to sleep but no matter what could not sleep, the more I wanted to sleep, the more my mind was awake. I lay in the bed, for the first time in my life felt that a man’s life is not a worthwhile thing, because the brain structure is different from other animals  so has to bear unnecessary torture!

I stood up from the bed, pulled out the laptop to kill some monsters.

Tonight Romance after the dusk was also out there, I had just come online, and he asked me via message: "Idiot, why did you come so late?" Idiot was his nickname for me; I had ineffectively tried to correct him several times then gradually and wearily just let him call me that.

The official game idiot: "How did you know I was coming tonight?"

Romance after the dusk: "Women, that are broken-down emotionally, are obsessed with the internet.”

The official game idiot: "Who said I am emotionally shattered!"

Romance after the dusk Romance: "Either that or you basically don’t have any emotions.”

He was truly guessing right. I just had to change the subject "And you, why do you stick to the internet all day?"
Romance after the dusk: "I was waiting for you as well."

Men out there on the internet are so slick; I did not heed his words, only said: "today also just continue to help me in beating these monsters away."

Romance after the dusk: "You're crazy!"

The official game idiot: "Did you learn that now?"

Romance after the dusk: "I can only risk my life to accompany you to get you through the second night post your wedding.”

The official game idiot: "Strange, you don’t have to work?"

Huh! For his these kinds of words, I had always blatantly ignored them.

Today was the third day after I married Jiang Li, it was also a very significant day-it was the day I was going back to my home! At the moment I could not wait to get on the rocket to go back to my mother’s side, and then never come back again, Mother, ah I really missed you hard especially when I wanted to sleep …

After I took full thirty six rounds around the living room, Jiang Li finally returned from his morning exercise. I brought out the breakfast that I had prepared for him, smiled and said: “Hurry up and eat so that we can leave soon.”

I was walking in front of Jiang Li and looking down the stairs. Due to the excitement of going to my home I was feeling somewhat lightheaded and weak at the knees, then due to a little carelessness my foot tripped and my entire body collapsed forward. In a romantic novel in a situation like this, a handsome guy should have caught me and then preferably two of us would accidentally have an intimate relationship or something like that…..
 

When I landed, I did not feel any pain, not since some nice guy caught me but because I already had lost consciousness…. When I woke up, I heard a voice next to me talking to somebody else, so I did not open my eyes right away.

A woman’s voice rang out: "My dear child, how did things turn so messy, even the road is not steady enough to walk or what?” just listening to that person’s cry my intestines tightened, I just knew that it’s my mother.

At the moment, Jiang Li who was holding my hand, explained from the side: "The doctor said that she has excessive fatigue and insufficient sleep ... .."

"What ... what?" My mother stopped crying, soon after in her voice tinted with joy said: "Jiang Li, you should give a little break to Xiao Yan as well.”


Jiang Li: "... .."

I felt that it was becoming increasingly necessary to verify if this old lady was really my mother…

Now, just hearing this Jiang Li said: “I apologize; I did not take good care of Xiao Yan.”

My mother suddenly laughed evilly; even with my closed eyes I could see that wretched smile on her face. She really lived up to the lowly expectations of the people: "Don’t be so modest, you took good care of her, really good!"

How should I handle a mother like that!
 

The two of them chatted for a while then my mother left, at the same time she did not forget to remind Jiang Li that I don’t need to go to mother’s home. In the end my suspicion rose again, did she really give birth to me?

After my mother left, with my eyes shut tight I lay in bed mulling and confirming the fact, Jiang Li ... was this guy really molested by my mother or not, so that I could somewhat gloat over.  A very clear saying flashed in my drowsy brain: Heroes don’t ask a way out, rogue don’t look at the age……


Just as I was enjoying the fulfillment of my wish, cold voice of Jiang Li suddenly came from above me: “since when were you pretending to sleep?” I opened my eyes, holding back my laughter, said: "How did you know I was feigning asleep?"

Jiang Li replied: "My hand was about to be broken by you.”

I threw off his hand and argued: "Who told you to hold my hand."

Jiang Li rubbed his hand and said: "I just held your hand lightly then it was you who was not letting it go." I refused to accept, glanced at him and quipped back: “you’re a big man, how come your hand is not strong enough.”

Jiang Li was not one to be outdone: “I had never seen a fatigued woman showing such great energy; you’re reincarnation of King Kong, no wonder only you would dare to marry me.”

Me: "......."
Okay, I admitted, bickering was never my forte.

Now, Jiang Li started tossing out his questions: "I still do not understand, clearly nothing was done but how could you make it look like something was done?”

I just looked down and recklessly said: “I can’t sleep alone.”

Jiang Li froze for a moment, and then out of nowhere let out a low laugh haha, his mood seemed really good. I just threw daggers at him with my eyes, did not know what else to say.
