Chapter 11: The new world of living together (2)

When we came back from the hospital it was already time for dinner. Jiang Li with his little conscience did not let me cook for him but called for home delivery, due to which half of my anger towards him from the morning was lost.

But I really hated the nights, people need to sleep at night, but I did not get to sleep. I lay in bed, wondering if I should seek a psychiatrist for my problem; a knock came from outside the door.

Jiang Li stood outside my bedroom door, his hands folded at his chest, in a condescending tone said: "Are you interested in sharing the bed?”

In a stupor, I kept looking at the door in an unfocused manner, did not know what was the right thing to say.

Jiang Li turned to go back: "Do not want it."

I stopped him back: "what are your conditions?" I simply did not believe that he had such a kind heart to take this kind of initiative.

Jiang Li turned around, the corners of his mouth curved slightly upwards and said: "One cannot tell that you are this smart from your looks."

I leaned against the door, pulling off a negotiating position: "Well, Don’t beat around the bush.”

Jiang Li crisply answered: "You will cook for me and do the housework."

"Deal." I replied very firmly, although no matter how you looked at it was an unequal treaty but I really did not want to become a miracle like walking dead.

Jiang Li gave me a rare praise: "Seeing you so agreeable is refreshing."

I carried my pillow, blanket and dejectedly walked into Jiang Li’s bedroom. Originally I was hesitating about how to divide the bed, but when I looked at his bed I realized all my worry was redundant. Hell, his bed was more than double the size of my bed!
 

Grinding my teeth I arranged pillows, blanket and then settled on the bed. Although I was beside a man on the same bed, but since this man had same sexual orientation as me my mind was at peace.

Damn, this calmness really made me fast asleep.

The next day after breakfast, I turned on the laptop just to QQ and found Romance after the dusk had left me some messages. They were roughly sent late at night, asking me why was I not online. I was speechless, if I was not cornered, who would want to accompany this laptop all night?

Considering that he tagged along with me the other night, I could not bring myself to treat him harshly, only answered: "I wanted to sleep."

I thought that Romance after the dusk was online till late last night so now he must be sleeping, who knew a moment later he sent a reply to my message: “Then your husband has regained his physical strength?”

Funny Yan Yan: "... .."

Funny Yan Yan was my screen name. Romance after the dusk had the same name both in the game and on screen but I usually called him Dusk.*

*Huánghūn was the original name but I chose to go with its English translation Dusk.

Funny Yan Yan: "Why did you not sleep?”

Romance after the dusk: "You did not show your smile how could I sleep…..”

I got goose bumps, had to send over a sweating emo.

Romance after the dusk: "Your heart was not moved?"

Funny Yan Yan: "If getting nausea can be considered as being moved."

Romance after the dusk: "Say, you are not even going on honeymoon…ah, ah..is your husband okay?...”

Funny Yan Yan: "What business do you have with it?"

Romance after the dusk: "Then where are you going to for your honeymoon?”

I hesitated a bit before answering back: "Maldives, I have heard that within the next few decades the island will completely disappear in the sea, so I am rushing to see it now.” Anyways, Maldives was such a small island; he could not know where I wanted to go, ah.

Romance after the dusk: "What a coincidence, I am also going to Maldives for vacations.”

Funny Yan Yan: "You are spewing nonsense, I find you on vacation every day.”

Romance after the dusk: "What do you mean?"

Funny Yan Yan: "You are a mere lowly unemployed uncle; the one taking vacation must be your son.” I said this due to certain reason, according to the ‘holiday mode’ that he always showed, he must not have a job.

Romance after the dusk: "How many times have I told you! I am a handsome energetic guy with boundless charms.”

Funny Yan Yan: "What is the use of handsomeness, my husband is more handsome than you.”

Romance after the dusk: "Then what, he is really very useless?” And he did not forget to send over a pathetic emo.

Funny Yan Yan: "Why do you care so much about his energy, he is probably as 

wise, refined and full of charms as you……uncle?”

Romance after the dusk: "The Earth is occupied by rotten women.”

Hehe, I was not a completely rotten woman, but this situation of having a gay husband, if I was not a bit rotten then would be feeling sorry for the actual reason behind my corruptness.

Romance after the dusk: "What does your handsome husband do, I dare you to tell me and see how I fare in comparison to him?”

Funny Yan Yan: "You don’t need to compare to my husband, my family can manage the simple finances well.”

Romance after the dusk:  "......"

Romance after the dusk: "Which hotel have you booked in Maldives? Perhaps we can actually meet there?”

Funny Yan Yan: "Do you really want to follow your son on vacation? Are you not afraid that his wife will find you too obtrusive?”

Romance after the dusk: "Never mind. Without any doubt the bark-less trees die early and the shameless people are invincible.”

Funny Yan Yan: "......."
