When Li Wei Feng saw the fading bruises on her wrist, he could not help wrinkling his brows.

“This is half of the scholarship money.  It’s what you should have gotten.”

Shen Wei Jun looked peevishly at him and said, “Since I lost to you, I’ve already accepted getting second place.  Next time I will beat you, you wait and see!”

“You take it.”  Li Wei Feng insisted.

“I don’t want it!”  Did she look like a beggar in his eyes?  He pitied her so much to give her money?

“Don’t try to be brave, I’m just concerned for you.”  Li Wei Feng took out an ointment from the back pocket of his jeans.  “Here, take this.”

Shen Wei Jun looked at the ointment on the table and then looked at him.

What is he playing at now ah?

“Your wrist……”  Li Wei Feng pointed at the bruises on her wrist, “Put ice on it, after 24 hours put a hot compress on it.  Afterwards dab this ointment gently on the bruise.”

Shen Wei Jun looked at her wrist in surprise.

She bruised easily due to her nephew.  Her nephew still being young did not know his own strength and when excited would kick and punch even when being held.  She was often the receiver of those kicks and punches babysitting him often.  As her skin is really pale, even a gentle grasp will produce bruising.

Seeing her look at her wrists, Li Wei Feng worriedly asked, “Who injured you?  Your family?  If you need help, I can…”

He hadn’t finished when Shen Wei Jun chuckled, “Do you think I was abused?”

Li Wei Feng looked at her sudden smile in confusion.  At the first sight of her smiling face, he was bewildered, his heart began to jump wildly.

“I have bruises thanks to this little guy.  Thank you for your concern.”  Shen Wei Jun took out her mobile phone, showing him a photo of her nephew.

Her tone was very sincere as she picked up the ointment and gave it back to him.

“You……”  Li Wei Feng stared in astonishment at the photo, “Is this your son?”

My God!  She is so young, and she’s a mother?

No wonder she’s a loner in class.  There is nothing she has in common with them, right?

“That is my sister’s child.”  Shen Wei Jun stared at him, “Hello?!  Do I look like someone who’s had a baby?”

“Oh!”  Li Wei Feng suddenly laughed, “I’m sorry I’m sorry, I had a slip of the tongue.  The child is your nephew!”

He let out a heavy sigh, his face back to smiling.

“Why are you laughing?  What’s so funny?”

Li Wei Feng smiled happily in response her anger.

Although he has not determined how he feels towards Shen Wei Jun, when he heard she was not the child’s mother, he was really relieved.

Seeing his annoying smile, Shen Wei Jun scolded, “Weirdo.”

Li Wei Feng didn’t mind being scolded, and continued smiling.

Before today, his understanding of Shen Wei Jun is really very little, but she just showed him a photo of her nephew.  Their relationship was improving some, right?

Shen Wei Jun didn’t want to bother with him anymore, bowed her head and continued her lunch.  But the envelope on the table was an eyesore.  She refused to accept scholarship money, and he was reluctant to take it back.

She pointed to the envelope and said to him, “Hello?!  Take it back!”

“Just accept it, okay?”  Li Wei Feng looked at her lunch.  With $5,000 she could buy a lot more for lunch.

Looking at his face full of concern, Shen Wei Jun couldn’t help but sigh.

“Sorry, last time I was only joking with you.  Please don’t take it seriously, I’m not so short on money.”

“Huh?”

“I said, I’m not so short on money.”

Her mother gave her enough pocket money every week for her to travel to and from school and even lunch.  The amount was just right to get by, not sparing any to purchase frivolous things.

She was a contented child from a young age.  There were always meals to eat, clothes to wear, and no special requirements.  Of course, the family financial situation did not allow her to splurge much.

In fact, she is quite happy.  She does not particularly admire a rich home like Xiao Qi, who comes from a rich family.  They don’t always seem to be happy, and poor people are not necessarily gloomy.

“Is that right?”  Li Wei Feng looked at the envelope for a long while before putting it into his bag.  “That’s good.”

What’s good?  Where in the end is it good?

Shen Wei Jun looked at him askance.  She thought he would continue but he was no longer speaking.  She waited for a while before continuing her lunch.

Humph!  Really worthy of the name weirdo.

“I say you two!  Don’t misunderstand everyone’s good intentions okay?”  Lin Guo Bin looked at the rumored couple from the back.

“What do you mean?” Li Wei Feng glanced at Shen Wei Jun, whose eyes didn’t even lift.

He knows that the students are well intentioned, but too enthusiastic to help and occasionally will make people uncomfortable.

“Xiao Lin, don’t say too much, Wei Jun will be angry.”

“She’s just putting on airs.”  No matter how much he provoked her, she just lowered her head and ignored him.

Lin Guo Bin flashed a self-deprecating smile, “Careful Li Wei Feng, I feel sorry for you.  How will match this little white flower?”

“Little white flower?”  Li Wei Feng glanced at Shen Wei Jun, thinking this adjective fit her.

The color of her skin was white, but is not too bright.  Small white flower, these three words describe her elegant and refined beauty.  “The description is very good.”

“Yes well, good indeed!”  Shen Wei Jun coldly said without lifting her head.

“Ha ha……” Li Wei Feng smiled softly.

“Roar!  I really can’t take you two ah!  Whether or not to be together, quickly decide!”  Lin Guo Bin urged.

Some of the students made bets on whether Li Wei Feng could successfully pursue Shen Wei Jun or not.  Therefore, their interactions were of great interest to the students who hung on every movement.

“Xiao Lin……”  Li Wei Feng helplessly looked at him.

“All right, all right!  Just say a few words, give me the facial expression to see.  You really so afraid she will be angry?”

Li Wei Feng again chuckled.  Every time they broached the subject, he would only chuckle in response.  The students were accustomed to this.

Lin Guo Bin rolled his eyes and turned back to chat with the others.

Li Wei Feng looked at Shen Wei Jun, and then knocked on her desk.  “Hey!  I helped you to ask yesterday, the children’s books you wanted are 50% off ah!”

“Is it true?”  At this time Shen Wei Jun finally looked up at Li Wei Feng.  “Then after school today I can go buy it?”

“Of course you can.”

Li Wei Feng had asked before why she wasn’t eating on purpose to save money, thus knowing she wanted to buy some children’s books.  He learned of a book dealer in the North through his Uncle that sold children’s books at a reasonable price.

In this way, he was able to make up for grabbing the first prize scholarship and a way she can accept.

“Thank you.”  Shen Wei Jun couldn’t help laughing happily.

The sudden sweet smile had Li Wei Feng struck into a silly state of mind.

His heartbeat accelerated into an uncontrolled speed like it was about to jump out of his chest.  All along, he was not able to determine this feeling, but suddenly he saw the light.

He likes Shen Wei Jun.
