Everyone knew that Qin Yufan liked Zhai Yunsheng.
In theory, she was supposed to be here at the Qin family banquet.
However, everyone also knew that Qin Yufan was fighting against Qin Chuan to be the next leader of the Qin family.
In addition, Qin Chuan had brought his biological mother to the party today. This was something that Qin Yufan could not accept.
Although Qin Yufan’s mother had passed away, she would not allow another woman to take her mother’s spot in the family.
As a result, she had missed out on the show today.

Instead, she stared in Qin Chuan’s direction. She hesitated for the entire night. Finally, after Jian Yiling left with Zhai Yunsheng, she gathered enough courage to approach Qin Chuan.
Originally, she hadn’t planned to approach Qin Chuan.
However, Jian Yiling appeared today. Her appearance had brought Mo Shiyun’s memories back to that day…
She wanted to try again. Perhaps… Qin Chuan still remembered her.
Mo Shiyun walked over to Qin Chuan. The smile on her face was polite and dignified.

He didn’t remember her.
He had no recollection of her at all.
“My name is Mo Shiyun. I’m also from Hengyuan City,” Mo Shiyun introduced herself to Qin Chuan.
She made herself act as naturally as possible. She didn’t want to show her disappointment.
“Ahh, so that’s how it is. I hope Miss Shiyun is satisfied with today’s banquet. If there’s any poor hospitality, I hope Miss Shiyun will bear with me.”
Qin Chuan’s reply was incredibly formulaic.
Then, the assistant following Qin Chuan whispered into his ear to tell him that the woman in front of him was merely an ordinary actress. There was no need for him to take the time to talk to her.
Mo Shiyun’s name was not on the invitation list in the first place. She was someone’s female companion to the party.
And thus, Qin Chuan said a few more words to Mo Shiyun before he turned around to speak to other guests.
However, Mo Shiyun stood in the same place. She felt incredibly lonely and sad.

On the way to Jian Yiling’s home, Jian Yiling sat in the front passenger seat as Zhai Yunsheng drove.
Before she got into the car, Jian Yiling noticed that Zhai Yunsheng’s vehicle was a green sports car.
On the way to Jian Yiling’s place, the two of them sat in silence.
It had been three years since they saw each other.
The little girl had grown up.
Although there was not much change in her appearance, the three years of separation had truly existed.
Zhai Yunsheng dropped Jian Yiling off at her new address.
She lived in a high-end apartment building that was located opposite Beijing University. The university was conveniently located just across the road from the apartment.
Zhai Yunsheng watched Jian Yiling exit the car. He watched her go upstairs.
Then, he waited until the lights came on upstairs.
He watched her pretty figure pass by the window.
Zhai Yunsheng stayed downstairs like this for half an hour.
It was only when the lights went out that he started the car again and left.
