She glared at Feng Wu. “Who are you, and what are you doing here?! Aren’t all maids forbidden to come here to the study? How did you get in?!”
Bixi’s eyes lit up when she saw the memorials in Feng Wu’s hands, and she yelled, “Guards! Guards! There’s an assassin here! Come here!”
Security was the top priority in the crown prince’s residence, and there were guards everywhere.
Therefore, hearing Bixi’s cry —
Everyone was instantly alarmed.
And several people rushed toward the study.
Seeing them, Bixi shouted, “Come over here! Quickly! This woman broke into His Royal Highness’s study! She must be a mole! Catch her! No, kill her!”
All the secret guards around the study and posted throughout the residence were very loyal to Jun Linyuan.
They took orders from him and no one else.
To them, Feng Wu wasn’t an acquaintance, but she wasn’t a stranger either, as she had visited the residence a few times already.
Thus, the leader of the guards seemed slightly displeased when he saw that Feng Wu was the “assassin.”
Bixi said hastily, “Take her down! Now!”
However, the leader only cast a stern look at Bixi before walking away.
That look made Bixi shudder.
The next thing she knew, the leader was leaving.
“Hey, Lou Xuan! Why are you leaving? Shouldn’t you arrest her? Aren’t you afraid that His Royal Highness will punish you?!”
Bixi and Lou Xuan both grew up in the imperial palace, and their paths had crossed when they were little. While Bixi was sent away to learn how to please men, Lou Xuan went on to learn martial arts.

This Bixi had been disobeying the rules just because she had been sent here from the imperial palace by the empress dowager herself, and Granny Gong had been enduring her behavior until now.
Seeing Granny Gong, Bixi quickly walked up to her and tried to take her arm.
However, Granny Gong drew her hand back and stared at Bixi.
“Granny Gong…” Bixi pursed her lips, pointed at Feng Wu, and whined, “This woman is a mole! She was tampering with His Royal Highness’s memorials! She’s after court secrets! We have to take her down before she escapes…”
Granny Gong stared at Bixi and found her an utter idiot.
However, Bixi had no idea how foolish her accusation was. Instead, she tried to make up more stories. “Granny Gong, I’m telling the truth. She was trying to steal the memorials! She really was…”
Granny Gong had had enough of her idiotic speech. “Do you know who she is?”
Bixi looked dumbfounded. The answer was obviously no.
“Who is she? Isn’t she some slave His Royal Highness brought back?” And this slave was too pretty to be real!
