“You idiot!” The small chimpanzee rolled around on the ground in frustration.
Fearing that it may cause more trouble, Feng Wu struck and stuffed the Demon Spider into the cub’s mouth.
“Argh —”
The small chimpanzee shook from head to toe in rage. The spider was so disgusting that it wanted to puke!
This abominable human girl would pay for this!
“My mom will eat you when she gets back! Ahhh —”
The cub jumped around and screamed furiously.
Feng Wu frowned. The cub had to have some special way to contact its mother. If its cries really could bring the Demon Chimpanzee back, she would be in a lot of trouble.
So she picked up a stone and smashed it down on the cub’s head.
Thump!
Poor little demon. The impact immediately rendered it unconscious…
Finally, everything was quiet again.
Feng Wu let out a breath of relief before she contacted Little Phoenix.
“Ahh —”
As soon as she called it, she heard the bird’s scream.
“How are you doing over there?” Feng Wu asked anxiously.
Little Phoenix said, “Ahhhh — this Demon Chimpanzee is the worst! Although it can’t fly, it’s really good at throwing things! It’s been throwing all sorts of things at me! Ahhhh! When it can’t find anything to throw, it pulls off its hair to hurl at me!
“And they’re like needles! Ouch! That hurts! It’s anything but stupid! It’s been shooting at my wings! Gosh, I can’t hold on for much longer —”
Little Phoenix complained loudly.
Feng Wu was a little relieved, for the bird wasn’t severely injured.
She immediately asked, “Where’s the horse?”
Because she didn’t have a bond with the horse yet, she couldn’t sense its presence. Little Phoenix, on the other hand, had an ability to sense other animals.
“It’s in the northwest! Just head for the west! Argh! My wing! The hair stabbed me again!”
The poor bird whined, and it seemed to be in grave danger.
After all, it was only a Spiritual Elder, and the magical beast was a Spiritual Lord. No matter how talented the bird was, it wouldn’t be able to get away.
“I’ve already caught the chimpanzee cub. Lead the big one in my direction.”
Luckily, they weren’t too far apart, so Feng Wu and Little Phoenix could communicate with their minds.
Little Phoenix had indeed almost been cornered by the Demon Chimpanzee, who was now sneering at the bird.

The beast cornered Little Phoenix in a valley before it smirked and slowly approached the bird.
“Hahaha —” The Demon Chimpanzee laughed. “You’re a mere Spiritual Elder, but you showed so much strength. I see that you’re from a special bloodline. Maybe you’re even one of the sacred magical beasts!”
Little Phoenix snorted inwardly. A sacred magical beast? I’m a divine one!
“I bet you’re very nutritious! I may have a breakthrough after I eat you. Hahaha —” The Demon Chimpanzee looked excited as it walked toward Little Phoenix.
One step, two steps, three steps…
Little Phoenix counted in its head.
