She glared at Emperor Wu. “Why won’t you give me a straight answer? Have you forgotten that Junjun is your son? He has to marry a girl with the Divine Phoenix Blood! There’s no other option!”
Behind Emperor Wu, Empress Dugu looked upward, trying to ignore the conversation.
She wished she couldn’t hear anything.
Emperor Wu fought back his urge to laugh. He held his mother’s hands and led her toward the bed. “Mother, if that’s your request, there’s only one candidate.”
“There is one?!” The empress dowager stared at Emperor Wu in disbelief.
Emperor Wu said, “Yes.”
The empress dowager asked, “Where is she? Which family is she from? Why are you still here? Send her a marriage proposal!”
Emperor Wu cleared his throat.
The empress dowager frowned. “Answer my question! How old is she? Is she too young?”
Emperor Wu stopped his mother before she let her imagination run wild.
“She’s here in the Junwu Empire, and she’s 14,” Emperor Wu announced.
“Nonsense!” The empress dowager threw off Emperor Wu’s hands and sat down on the bed. “Stop teasing me!”
Emperor Wu chuckled. “Don’t you believe me?”
The empress dowager said, “No.”
Emperor Wu said, “I’ll let the empress tell you who the girl is.”
Empress Dugu wished she was somewhere else.
Emperor Wu glanced at Empress Dugu. “Tell my mother who the girl is.”
Empress Dugu felt so frustrated.
The empress dowager said, “I don’t want her niece! Not in a million years!”
Empress Dugu felt even more frustrated.
Emperor Wu smiled proudly.
“Dugu, tell my mother who has the most precious bloodline.”
It was like asking Empress Dugu to slap herself.
She decided to get it over with.
She took a deep breath and said that name.
“Feng Wu!”
She was so loud that it almost made the empress dowager jump.

She didn’t catch the name. “What Wu?”
Emperor Wu laughed. “Mother, she said Feng Wu!”
