“But he never forgot you,” said Jin Youlan with a faint smile. “For you, he came to me. Also for you, he abandoned me. He’s even trying to end his contract with my company. Do you know that he even took my pictures after we had sex, and threatened to publish them if I didn’t let him end the contract?”
Yan Su’s eyes widened in shock. Somehow, she felt disgusted.
She knew that Shi Xiang had slept with Jin Youlan long ago but taking those kinds of pictures was awful.
Anyhow, she helped him.
Hurting someone mercilessly after making use of her was indeed something indecent to do.
“You’re wrong. He didn’t do it for me.” Yan Su raised her head and said, “He did it for himself. Since you know about me, you should know that I barely saw him all these years. We didn’t even get a chance to speak on the phone. I’m a victim too. We got together in high school. I left my family for him, but he cheated on me. Do I feel good about that?”
“He slept with me because he wanted to use me to earn a better life for you. Now, he’s grown some strength, so he immediately abandoned me and came home to you. I’m your steppingstone.”
“What life did he ever give me?” Yan Su asked. “Have I eaten his food or worn his clothes? He gave me nothing. I earned my life all by myself. Earlier, we attended an event together. An investor tried to take advantage of me, and he was there watching. He didn’t want to offend the investor. Is that how he loves me?”
Jin Youlan was stunned.
Yan Su continued with, “I’m only an excuse of his. What he really wants is to be rich and successful. I’m only a piece of decoration in his eyes. He can live with me, or without me. I’m not the one that you want to pay revenge on. Besides, when you slept with him, didn’t you foresee today? This is the world we live in. You slept with him, and he climbed higher on your shoulders. Is there any true love?”
“Shut up.” Jin Youlan’s expression changed. “I’ve seen all kinds of men in my life, but I’ve never been fooled like this!”
Yan Su didn’t shut up, but gave a bitter smile and said, “Miss. Jin, it’s my first time being betrayed too. I know that you’re so rich and powerful that you can get anything you want, but when you stole someone else’s boyfriend, haven’t you ever thought that his girlfriend might get hurt because of you? Well, of course, I don’t blame you. I blame the man. He made the choice himself. He decided to cheat on me, and I couldn’t possibly stop him. Your case is the same. Even if I, Yan Su, don’t exist in this world, the story between you and him would still end in the same way. You’re right, you’re just his steppingstone. Now, he’s climbed high. Would he stoop to pick up his steppingstone?”
“You’re sharp-tongued.” Jin Youlan pinched Yan Su’s chin and gave a smile.
“I just think that we’re both women. A woman shouldn’t hurt another woman,” said Yan Su helplessly.
“You’re right. I was almost convinced and let you go.” Jin Youlan took out her phone and said, “However, what you said is only your guess. You don’t know if he really cares about you or not. He knows.”
