Her words ignited the pain and anger that Mo Liuxi had been trying to restrain. Why did he lie to her? Did she think he wanted to lie to her?
If he could do it all over again, he never would have drunk so much alcohol that night. He wouldn’t have let that happen.
He could explain. After all, he wasn’t sure if it was An Ning. He found a pregnancy test kit in the bathroom just now and heard her tone of voice. It sounded as if she had never cheated on him at all.
She was pregnant with another man’s child. What gave her the right to accuse him like that?
With that thought, he burst out laughing. “That happened before we got together,” he said, “I am with you whole-heartedly, at least. I’m clean when I’m with you. What about you?”
His stony tone turned Yan Su’s heart cold. He was lying, yet he sounded so confident and convincing. “I… I am, really, not much better than you. I had an ex-boyfriend, but at least, I didn’t do anything with him. I asked you about your relationship with An Ning. You lied to me. You’re a liar. That’s why I’m so unhappy. No wonder she hates me so much now. If… If I’d known about this, I never would have come between you and her.”
“You didn’t do anything with him?” Mo Liuxi stared at her pretty, clean face. He suddenly felt as if he didn’t know that girl anymore, “Yan Su, you’re such a liar.”
She even had a baby, yet she still pretended to be so innocent.
Mo Liuxi wouldn’t care how many ex-boyfriends she had, as long as she loved him with a true heart. What he did care about was that she wasn’t being totally honest with him. She was lying.
Yan Su’s eyes widened with surprise as she looked at his beautiful, thin lips. She didn’t understand how those awful, hurtful words come out of that mouth, which was once full of sweet and loving words.”
Liuxi, is that what you think of me? You promised not to talk about what happened between Shi Xiang and me that night. You don’t really believe me, do you?”
“You’re right. I don’t believe you at all,” Mo Liuxi sneered. He felt as if he had a thousand bleeding wounds in his heart. It was the first time he got hurt so deeply. “You were with him a long time ago. Having sex is like having lunch for you guys.”
“Shut up.”
His words pierced Yan Su’s heart like a poisonous thorn. She liked him so much before, but now she was full of wrath.
Earlier, on her way back from the hospital, she was planning on telling him about what happened that night. She was pregnant with his child. Maybe they would become parents.
But at that moment, she felt she didn’t need to tell him the truth.
She and he were ugly in each other’s eyes now. Even if they stayed together for the child, they wouldn’t be happy.
“Mo Liuxi, please leave. There’s nothing left for us to say to each other,” Yan Su bit her lower lip really hard so that she wouldn’t cry.
“Is that what you were going to say to me tonight? Are you here to break up with me?” Mo Liuxi twitched his lips in a scornful smile, said, “Alright, let’s break up. We’re not right for each other.”
Liking each other and having good feelings toward each other were two important things that two people needed to be together. With those two things, he wouldn’t care if the girl was ugly, lazy, not smart, or short-tempered.
If a relationship was only about lies and betrayals, people would get hurt over and over again even if they managed to stay together.
If she was being honest with him tonight, told him how she got pregnant and agreed to get an abortion, he might still forgive her. But she didn’t do that. What she did and said made Mo Liuxi so disappointed.
He was in love with the wrong person.
