Jiang Yuning dropped his head to look at himself. Slowly, he undid his shirt buttons. His ears were turning red.
It was supposed to be a simple movement, yet he made it quite seductive, especially when he pulled his shirt off his shoulder bit by bit as if he was forced to strip.
There were other people in the room. Nian Xi felt as if her cheeks were burning. She couldn’t help but say to him, “Do it quickly. Don’t be so shy. It’s not as if I’ve never seen your body.”
Jiang Yuning curved his lips downward and said, “I wasn’t injured when you saw my body. I was good-looking back then. Now I’m injured and ugly.”
Nian Xi’s mouth corners twitched slightly. She didn’t respond to him but ripped open his shirt.
The other people in the room immediately started whispering to each other. A middle-aged woman on the bed next to Jiang Yuning’ said to her daughter in a low voice, “Some young girls are bold nowadays. Look at her. She took off that boy’s cloth.”
As a police officer, Nian Xi had very good hearing. She heard the woman, turned and retorted, “Lady, when we met a beautiful guy, we should, of course, take off his clothes directly. It might take ages for him to do it himself.”
The middle-aged woman and her daughter had never seen such an outspoken girl. They were both stunned to hear what Nian Xi said.
Nian Xi turned around. Jiang Yuning seemed to be dumbfounded too.
Nian Xi knew what he was thinking. She whispered to him, “Don’t say anything. I said that to them on purpose.”
“Oh.” Jiang Yuning was disappointed. “I thought you felt that way. I was going to tell you that… if you want to see my body, you don’t have to use violence. You can take off my clothes if you want. I won’t resist.”
“I know,” Nian Xi snorted. “But… Occasionally, proper struggling can make the atmosphere better.”
Jiang Yuning was confused. He didn’t understand it.
Nian Xi didn’t continue the topic but lowered her head to check his wounds, which were stitched and dressed.
“It hurt getting stitches, didn’t it?” Nian Xi’s heart twitched slightly. He seemed so weak. Those wounds must have brought him severe pain.
“It’s alright,” Jiang Yuning said honestly. “I had anesthesia.”
Nian Xi stayed silent. She remembered her brother pretending to suffer a huge pain in front of Luosang after he accidentally fell off his car. Unlike her brother, Jiang Yuning was… too honest.
“It’ll hurt when the anesthesia wears off.”
“I’ll get used to it.” Jiang Yuning frowned slightly.
Silly boy. Don’t you know how to pretend to be pitiful? Nian Xi thought.
She sighed, pulled up his shirt, then buttoned it up for him.
The two of them were close to each other. As she lowered her head, Jiang Yuning saw the white and tender skin on the back of her neck. Her facial skin was a little darker than the other areas of her body. It turned out that her original skin color was pretty light. Her face was probably tanned.
She was wearing a small necklace that perfectly matched her skin.
“Xi,” he called her, gasping for air.
“Hmm?” Nian Xi raised her head. She was so close to him that her bright eyes even looked right into his heart.
“Your… your neck is pretty,” Jiang Yuning complimented her shyly in a low voice.
Nian Xi raised her brows and curved her lips in a smile, feeling slightly sweet in her heart. “Are you peeping my neck?”
Jiang Yuning slightly opened his mouth, feeling a little unhappy. Wasn’t he even allowed to look at her neck?
Since he didn’t say anything, Nian Xi kept teasing him. “Is my neck the only pretty part of me? What about the rest of me? Don’t you think that every part of me is pretty?”
