Nian Xi knitted her brows, feeling speechless. Did he not understand what she really meant?
“I’m trying to say that your friend might have done this on purpose.”
“I don’t understand,” Jiang Yuning said confusedly.
The frown on Nian Xi’s face grew deeper and deeper. All right, Jiang Yuning did have low EQ. Did she have to make it more straightforward?
Uncle Han understood her. “Miss Nian meant that Miss He might have given her a faulty robot on purpose.”
“Yes.” Nian Xi nodded. “I’m sure that she likes you. She knew that you are with me now, and that made her hate me. She wants to hurt me.”
Jiang Yuning scratched the back of his head and said with a weird look on his face, “She doesn’t like me that way.”
Nian Xi felt as if she was trying to talk to a cow. “Why did she give me a robot like this if she doesn’t like you that way? Look at my kitchen.”
“Something is wrong with it,” said Jiang Yuning blinking his eyes.
Nian Xi was so angry that she laughed. “I don’t believe it. I think she did this on purpose.”
“I’ll get you a new kitchen.” Jiang Yuning didn’t know how to respond to her, so he stubbornly repeated what he said earlier.
“Are you listening to me?” Nian Xi was frustrated. The failed communication with Jiang Yuning made her feel even more annoyed. “Why are you protecting that woman?”
Looking at her angry face, Jiang Yuning stopped short with fright.
A while later, he dropped his head and murmured with a very soft, pitiful voice, “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have given you the robot. It’s my fault.”
He just wanted her to be happy. He never thought things would become like this. Even her family started to dislike him.
The way he put himself down made Nian Xi’s heart twitch. She was also upset because he couldn’t understand her point.
He didn’t seem to suspect that woman at all. Was that woman so trustworthy in his eyes?
Feeling the tense atmosphere, Uncle Han said, “Miss Nian, Mr. Jiang will certainly find out what happened. No matter what caused this, we will be responsible for your damage. If He Xin really did this on purpose, Mr. Jiang will never forgive her.”
Nian Xi snorted angrily and said, “Your Mr. Jiang isn’t going to suspect his dear friend.”
“She has no reason to hurt you,” said Jiang Yuning with a grievance. “You said that she likes me, but I don’t think so.”
Nian Xi didn’t even know what to say.
Hearing his conversation with Nian Xi, Murong Cheng felt that the boy either had a low EQ or was too unsophisticated. However, what Nian Xi said was only a guess of hers. After all, she couldn’t prove it.
“There is no evidence to prove that,” she said to her daughter, then turned to the boy and continued with, “You guys just take the robot back, then find some people to clean the mess in the kitchen. Have you had dinner yet?”
“Yes,” said Jiang Yuning.
Hearing that, Nian Xi was even angrier than before. She was starving, while he had had dinner already. “I’ll leave the mess to you. We haven’t had dinner yet, so we’re going out to eat. I hope my apartment won’t look so messy when I came back.”
After saying that, she walked into her bedroom, put on a coat and then left with Murong Cheng.
Uncle Han worked efficiently. On his way to Nian Xi’s apartment, he had already hired three hourly workers to toss the damaged things in the kitchen. After that, he ordered a series of kitchen appliances online. All the goods he ordered were the best ones.
“Mr. Jiang, I’ve talked to the shop. We’ll pay them more for them to deliver everything tomorrow,” Uncle Han said to Jiang Yuning, who was holding the robot in silence.
