Yan Su dropped her phone, suddenly feeling sleepy.
The next day, Jiaojiao came to ask her to go out and take a few pictures in fashionable clothes. Seeing her sallow face, Jiaojiao asked her, “Did you guys not have fun last night?”
“Last night was great…” Yan Su sighed. “Jiaojiao, what kind of a person do you think Mo Liuxi is?”
“Why do you want to talk about him again? Haven’t you guys broken up already?” Jiaojiao tittered. “Are you thinking about getting back together with him?”
“No…” Yan Su answered the question, blushing. “I just… I don’t really believe my own judgment now. Sometimes I feel that he’s actually a good person. He’s sharp-tongued, but he’s warm on the inside. He can be sweet sometimes, but he lied to me that nothing happened between him and An Ning, yet in fact, they had slept together…”
She wasn’t planning on telling Jiaojiao about it, but she didn’t know whom to talk to. She couldn’t talk to Luosang about her little brother. So all along, she kept it to herself and struggled with it.
“I didn’t know about that…” Jiaojiao knitted her brows with surprise. “No wonder you guys broke up suddenly.”
“Yeah.” Yan Su smiled bitterly.
If it wasn’t for An Ning, she would have definitely told Mo Liuxi about the baby.
She thought that after about 6 months, she should be able to face him peacefully, but recently, things between them became complicated again. Some things that she thought had gone away seemed to come back.
Soon, the film would be screened all over the country. The two of them would have to go to several cities together for the film promotion. Before that happened, she had to figure out how she was feeling about him.
Jiaojiao sighed and asked her, “Did he cheat on you and sleep with An Ning while he was with you, or before that?”
“I think it was before we got together,” Yan Su mumbled. “But he slept with An Ning, then got together with me. That’s why An Ning started trouble with me over and over again. I really didn’t like him lying to me. An Ning even sent pictures to my apartment.”
“I think you two can still talk about it if it happened before you got together.” Jiaojiao started analyzing. “Maybe he shouldn’t lie to you. Lying is awful. However, he was nice to you when you were together, and he never cheated on you. Perhaps he lied to you because he cared too much for you. He wanted so much to be together with you, and he was worried that you might say no to him after knowing about what happened between him and An Ning. You should observe him and pay more attention to his moral quality. If he’s that kind of guy who likes to sleep with all kinds of pretty girls, he can’t possibly conceal that nature forever. People will find out about that soon or later. He’s becoming famous now. The reporters have been eyeing him and you two are both in the entertainment circle. You’d be hearing things about him if he’s that kind of person. Also, you can just spend more time observing him.”
Yan Su stopped short. On hearing Jiaojiao’s words, she felt as if she was no longer confused.
Jiaojiao continued with, “I think Shi Xiang was also part of the reason why you guys broke up, right? You spent a night with Shi Xiang in a hotel, and some reporters took pictures of you two. As a man, he certainly felt uncomfortable about that. He did something that displeased you, and you did something that made him unhappy too. However, based on his behavior here in Venice, I think he’s not over you yet. He is an aloof person. He often ignores other girls, but he always pays extra attention to you. He hates you. He wouldn’t hate you if he didn’t love you.”
“The same as you, he’s not over it.”
Yan Su felt enlightened. She thought she had the same feelings, but she wasn’t sure.
Mo Liuxi hated her, probably because of Shi Xiang and the baby.
“Don’t struggle.” Jiaojiao continued by saying, “Let things happen naturally. You need time to see the true moral quality of a person. As I’ve told you, you should spend more time observing him.”
