Mo Liuxi spent two days in Luxembourg, then flew back to Xia City. The flight took over twenty hours. He was pretty travel-worn by the time he arrived home.
He returned to the villa at nightfall. Luosang and Nian Junting had been there waiting for him. Once he came in, Luosang and Xu Zhengxuan welcomed him passionately.
“Liuxi, congratulations on winning the Golden Lion. I am so proud of you.” Luosang excitedly hugged him.
God knew how thrilled she was to know that Mo Liuxi’s crew won the Golden Lion.
Xu Zhengxuan even had joyful tears in his eyes. “Son, you are so amazing. Your mother cultivated you well. You are better than me.”
Apple also joined the conversation. “Mamama… Gagaga… Dadada…”
Mo Liuxi felt speechless. What was the baby saying?
Mo Jin and Nian Junting were sitting aside, eating fruit and watching the others.
As Luosang and her father were exaggerating, Mo Jin waved a hand at last and said, “All right, this is quite enough. After all, the film was directed by Li Ming. He was just there to help.”
“You don’t understand.” Xu Zhengxuan disagreed with her, and that was a rare thing. “Didn’t you hear how Director Li complimented him? He adjusted the script and directed the film on the scene. I bet that they wouldn’t be able to win the prize without Liuxi’s contribution.”
“Yeah, your son is the best.” Mo Jin didn’t want to argue with him.
“No, he isn’t the best.” Xu Zhengxuan quickly shook his head and said, “You are the best. You made him smart and educated him well. Ninety-nine percent of you and one percent of himself made his achievement.”
Luosang didn’t know what to say.
Mo Liuxi wanted to throw up.
Nian Junting wanted very much to film it and show it to Nian Qingyun. That was why Xu Zhengxuan managed to win his ex-wife’s heart back. He was being extremely shameless.
“I’m hungry. Let’s go and eat.” Mo Liuxi walked toward the dining room.
The family prepared him a rich meal. He had been having western food for a long time and indeed, he missed Chinese food. He enjoyed the meal.
“I saw you and Yan Su fall into the water…” Mo Jin said to him with a smile. “You two looked like a sweet couple in those pictures. You made a lot of physical contact in the water, right? Did you feel your heart leaping and your body burning?”
Mo Liuxi stayed silent. Luosang almost choked on her rice. “Mom, can you please…”
“I’m telling the truth,” Mo Jin said with a small smile. Didn’t she know her own son? He wouldn’t bother to make that kind of interaction with a girl that he wasn’t interested in. “I think Yan Su has become prettier than before.”
“I heard from a professor in the Music Department that Yan Su is still studying at a university for a master’s degree,” said Xu Zhengxuan.
“What a motivated girl.” Mo Jin couldn’t help complimenting her.
Luosang laughed and said, “A couple of days ago, Yan Su told me that she bought a gift for Apple in Venice. She said she’s too busy to send the gift to us now because she’ll take part in the show, Asian King of Singing, the second season. She’s already filmed the first episode. The show will be aired in half a month.”
Mo Liuxi’s hand, which was holding his chopsticks, shook.
Mo Jin nodded and said, “That show is popular indeed. The last season even made a few has-been artists superstars again.”
“Yeah. Many singers want to be in that show right now. Yan Su’s manager is doing a great job. She actually got her into that show.” Luosang sighed. “But the competition is strong. Some singers need to compose the music themselves. They barely had the time to sleep during the making of the show. I’m really worried about her. Hopefully, she’ll be able to cope with the heavy workload.”
