Jiang Yuning lowered his head, and his clear eyes were incandescent with both anger and trepidation. “Xixi, now isn’t the time for jokes! Do you realize that we almost died just now?”

However, Nian Xi knew that Nian Junting was probably worried that someone would harm her because of Jiang Yuning’s matters ever since she spoke to Nian Qingyun during the Lantern Festival. That was probably why he had sent people to protect her.
Nian Xi was quite touched. Her brother usually seemed vile, but he was quite protective of her during critical moments.
“Miss Nian, both of you should head upstairs first.” Meng Fan frowned as he stared at the elevator. “We’ll get the staff from the property management team to come here and take a look. Qi Xiang, escort Miss Nian upstairs. Let’s not use the elevator for the time being.”

When Nian Junting bought this apartment back then, Nian Junting had specifically highlighted that Miss Nian was living here alone and had asked the security to take special care of her.
