Chapter 703 You Have Underestimated Your Man 

Luosang was speechless. The guy was acting as if her baby was going to be a girl for sure.

A girl would be nice, a baby girl who would be as cute as Nian Xi. If she had a boy like Nian Junting, she would probably have a heart attack.

“Who said I didn’t want the baby? I don’t want you.” Luosang said spitefully.

Nian Junting ignored what she said. He knew that she was trying to tie him down with the baby. He knew how much she loved him, she just refused to admit to it.

“All right. I decided not to be angry with you anymore, so stop holding grudges,” Nian Junting said. Luosang was miffed that he was acting as if he was the bigger man who was forgiving her wrongdoings.

Luosang inhaled sharply and ignored him. But she was curious as to how he found out about the scheme.

Nian Junting smiled cheekily when he saw her trying to ignore him. He started stroking her belly with a satisfied grin on his face.

Luosang was annoyed after a while and tried to peel his hands away from her body, but to no avail.

“Don’t touch me.” Luosang pinched his hands forcefully, causing a bruise on the back of his hand.

Nian Junting frowned. “I won’t tell you about how Jiang Qifei got a hold of the evidence if you pinch me again.”

Luosang was dying from curiosity, so she stopped tormenting him. “She has someone backing her? Is she with a rich man?”

“Liao Qiulong from Qifeng Holdings,” Nian Junting said.

Luosang was stunned. “I didn’t expect Liao Qiulong to be so formidable. How did he get a hold of the evidence, even before you did?”

Nian Junting’s expression looked somber. “Liao Qiulong isn’t that formidable. I’m way more influential than he is. Jiang Qifei knew about this because she came upon a document when she went to visit my dad at his office. She was snooping around and saw the information he had when he ran a background check on you. That was how she managed to grab a hold of the evidence before I could. Nian Qingyun felt that something was off and looked into the matter and told me about it. If not, I would have really been heartbroken by your sudden breakup.”

It all made sense now. The whole time, Jiang Qifei was only supported by Liao Qiulong. She had thought there was someone even more formidable supporting her.

She was one step ahead of Nian Junting after all. It was just her evil scheme.

“So, your dad was the real mastermind behind this?” Luosang said grumpily. “Why was he checking up on me? Was he going to use the information against me?”

“…He had plans to, but he decided against it after he divorced my mother.” Nian Junting decided to tell her the truth after some hesitation. “He didn’t hide the document well but I scolded him about it. Don’t worry, he won’t do such things again. He has accepted you now.”

Luosang was in disbelief. Nian Qingyun accepted her? Wasn’t he going on about Nian Junting marrying Leng Shuangwei earlier on?

Jiang Qifei was the main issue now though.

“Leave Jiang Qifei to me.”

Nian Junting chuckled coldly. “How dare she threaten you and our relationship. The nerve of her. Does she really think she’s got it all now that she has Liao Qiulong? She thinks that she can manipulate our feelings and our lives, but she didn’t expect me to set up a trap around her. Now, I’m just waiting for her to make a fool out of herself.”

Luosang looked at him in bewilderment. “I just want to get hold of the evidence. I’m worried that she would ruin it if she is antagonized.”

“Don’t worry. I’ll make her hand it over willingly. If she enjoys threatening others, I will let her have a taste of her own medicine.” Nian Junting sunk his body into the sofa and smiled eerily. “Luo, I will let you know that you have underestimated your man.”
