Nian Qingyun ignored her completely but said angrily, “You get over here now and teach your daughter how to behave. What she’s doing is awful. I’m not against her finding a new boyfriend, but it can’t be an indecent man. Also, your son has broken up with his girlfriend, too. He’s a thirty-year-old man but still not married. My army friends have all become grandpas long ago. It’s all because you, as their mother, didn’t do your duty.” After saying that, he angrily ended the call. And then, he suddenly fell into silence and walked to the balcony. He lit a cigarette and looked at the sky with a sad face.
Nian Xi was going to accuse him, but seeing him suddenly fall into depression, she couldn’t bear to say awful words to him. He might not be a good man, but still, he was her father. To divert her father’s attention, Nian Xi had no choice but to say to him, “Dad, weren’t you talking about me just now? Why did you suddenly stop?”
Nian Qingyun turned and looked at Nian Xi, who looked so much like Murong Cheng, feeling heartburn. He still remembered how happy his life was back when he and Murong Cheng just had the two children. However, he made that stupid mistake because of Jiang Qifei.
Recently, he had learned what kind of person Jiang Qifei really was and regretted it so badly. He couldn’t even believe how blind he was back then. If only he could turn the clock back. If that thing hadn’t happened, his life would be so much better. But now, his son often made him angry, and his daughter did the same, and after all that suffering, his ex-wife tortured him. He felt that his life was really too harsh.
“Don’t talk to me. Tell that boy to leave. Tell him not to show up in front of me again.” Nian Qingyun was now full of grievances that he could not vent. “You need to step over my dead body before you get together with him.”
Nian Xi felt a little speechless. It’s not that serious… she thought. As she was thinking, her phone rang in her room. She hurriedly answered the call. It was Murong Cheng calling. “Nian Xi, who are you with?” Murong Cheng sounded serious as well. “Your dad said that you’re with a man-whore…”
“Mom, Dad doesn’t know. How can you believe him? I’m not with anyone…”

“My brother has met him. You can ask him about him. Please stop nagging me. I didn’t do anything wrong, anyway.” Nian Xi was nearly drowned by her mother’s nagging, so she directly ended the call.
When she walked out of her room, Jiang Yuning had already put his shirt on. Nian Qingyun was standing on the balcony, glaring at him while smoking. Nian Xi suffered a headache, wondering why Jiang Yuning’s people hadn’t come to pick him up.
Right when she was having that thought, a knock at the door was heard. Nian Xi’s eyes glowed, thinking that maybe God had heard her prayer. She hurriedly answered the door. As she expected, the two people who had picked Jiang Yuning up the last time were standing out there.
“You finally showed up. Please take him away,” she said to them.
“We’re sorry,” the elegant man said apologetically.
Jiang Yuning had seen them, too, and frowned slightly.
Nian Xi gave a bitter smile and said, “Why do you have to wait until the morning to find out that he’s missing? Couldn’t you just check on him in his room at night? You know that he has a poor sense of direction and that he gets lost very easily.”
