Time Travel

Where am I?  The hospital?  Why do it feels like I am floating on thin air?

She opens her eyes, the surrounding is dark.  Before she even gets the chance to take a better look—- ‘bam’ ‘boom’.

I feel like I just fell from a high place.  There is that sound of wood being broken…  Why is my entire body so sore, “Aiya!  My arms!  My legs!  My waist!  I can’t get up!”  My hands can still move, I can still feel pain, so I am alive!  Thank goodness!  But why do I feel a little off?  I force myself to twist my sore neck!  Oh God, under the dim lighting of candles, I can see so many people around me!  What are they doing?

“Ye, check if it’s a lady or a man.”  A cold, emotionless voice says.  That voice belongs to a man wearing white clothes, he is currently piggy-backing me.  I can’t see his face, but his back-side is not bad, he is the tall and slender kind.

Wait- what am I thinking?

A man dressed in black heartlessly pushes my hair away and eyes me carefully.  An incredulous expression plays out on his previously apathetic face, “Answering wangye, it is a lady.”

Of course, I, Xu Duo Qian, is a real, genuine woman!  A suspicious nature is not very kind alright!  Huh, they are wearing ancient clothing, what is going on here?

“Wangfei is auspicious, these servants greets Wangfei!” a bunch of people kneels on the ground.  What are they talking about?  Why are they kneeling towards me?

“Where am I?” after a while, I finally musters the courage to ask.  A girl wearing green who is kneeling not far from me crawls to where I am before drooping her head to the ground, “Answering Wangfei, this is the prince’s residence ah!”  What kind of answer is that?  Ridiculous!  I muster myself to get up and— “Ah!  My hair!  My clothes!”

A white robe is thrown my way.  What kind of attitude is that!

Even though I have no idea who he is, courtesy is the basic quality in a person.  “Thank you!”

I still have no idea where I am.

“This is the imperial dynasty of Long Yu.  We are in Xuan Wang’s manor in Feng Huang city.  You are the female master of the manor, Xuan Wangfei.”

What?  I struggles to get up and heads towards the man. “What did you say?  Who?  According to who?  I am not some wangfei, don’t speak so blindly!”  Is it true what people say, kind people are the subject to bullies.

“According to me.”  That man turns around and oh God, his bronze skin, his cold eyes, his straight nose, his lips!  That man has long dark hair and is wearing ancient outfit.  Don’t tell me I time-travelled?  Did I hurt my head?

So what if he’s handsome!  Under what basis is he calling me that!

“All of you retreat.  Leave out two girls to serve her!”  Such a cold voice, it’s like we’re in winter time.  “Yes, wangye,” they all retreats with their heads droop down.  How can they see the way ah?  And who should serve what ah?  I have my own hands and feet.  I give him a sweet smile, I have no other way since I am in his domain, “Young master— no— wangye…. I am not any kind of wangfei, you mistook me for someone else.”

“What I said is what goes.  You are only a little ugly, but that’s fine.”  After he said that, he even gives me a light, contemptuous smile.  Are you blind, calling me ugly?  After he says that, he sits on a couch and leisurely drinks his tea.

“I am not.  I want to go out!  I am not your wangfei or whatever!” My throat has gone coarse from speaking with him, but that ice block didn’t even raise his eyes; not even his eyelids!  I angrily strides over to him and lift my right leg next to his seat, I don’t believe he will still ignores me!

He avoids me smoothly and walks out to the door, “Bring wangfei to Qi Xia Building to rest.  Take good care of her,” he instructs the two maids before he walks away.

“You stop!  Ice block!  I am not that wangfei!  Are you deaf?  You crazy thing!”  I use up every curse words I know, in the end, I grow tired.  My entire body feels sore and I somehow feels as though I fell from a building’s roof.  I’ll get back to him tomorrow.

“Wangfei, wangye has left.  Allow this servant to bring you to Qi Xia Building.”  Those two girls hang their heads, as though afraid I will scold them.  For the benefits of both parties, I obediently follows them to that Qi Xia Building, I don’t know what waits for me.
