Chapter 34: Seven Secrets

Ellen wants siblings but unfortunately there aren’t any (°▽°)
Are you and your brother just two siblings? ( ´_ゝ`) ?」

Ellen asked while heartily eating a cake with plenty of cream.

Because Yuri was frozen till just a while ago, and the table full of sweets wasn’t decreasing at all, she considered not continuing to eat.

However, it was precisely because she was paying her respects to the farmers who made the ingredients and the cooks who made the sweets that she kept eating.

「I h, have two older sisters, th, they should be at a different tea party today, so they are not at the palace right now… My older brother and two older sisters make us four siblings… However, there’s nothing good about having siblings…」

Failing to realize Yuri’s troubles entirely, and completely derailing the talk once more, Ellen began talking about 6 of the 7 secret seasonings in Linda-baasan’s beef stew.

Yuri was a bit curious about the 7th secret seasoning but, be that as it may, he didn’t know why but he couldn’t leave the conversation as it was and rebuked himself.

「U! Umm! I t, think that the talk has gotten derailed……」

Yuri, with all his courage, chopped through Ellen’s story.

Talking about the beef stew got me all fired up ( ´_ゝ`)

As expected, having siblings means you would have sibling troubles but,

The talk that was derailed returned to the main topic that they lost sight of.

Still, Ellen’s maturing relationships[1] were currently a grave social problem in the Theodoare territory.
