Idle Talk: Ojou-sama and Orange
“Fuーn Fufuっ Fuー♪ FuーFufuっ Fuー♪ Dream (Yume no)……♪”
An odd hum is audible from the back door.
Perhaps Ojou-sama is humming while taking a stroll I guess.
The impression of the humming seems to be in high spirits and in perfect form today.
Ojou-sama is skillful at making songs always humming unusual songs that would remain in my ears.
Won’t she become a composer in the future I wonder.
If I(boku) remember correctly Ojou-sama is five years younger than me, should be around ten years old.
As I thought, the Ojou-sama of the Earl house is different from me even though close in age.
While thinking of such things, I was ordered outside the kitchen to the watering area by the head chef to do the washing, the oil filth does not come off at all.
The tea stain of Oku-sama’s favourite teacup does not come off I feel like crying.
I am Peter(ピート). A chef apprentice hired by the Edelweiss Earl family a few days ago.
Presently I am doing the kitchen washing after the midday meal, the expensive soap may not be used, the amount of washing is abundant no matter how much time passes it doesn’t feel like it will ever end.
“I wish there was a magic to make grime drop off easily”
Unconsciously I grumbled something like a pipe dream(wild fantasy) and sighed.
Then suddenly from the back door a small silhouette of a head appeared.
“Do you want Senzai(detergent/washing material)?”
“Heh? Ojou-sama?”
“Uwaa there is alot huh? Want to remove the oil stains huh.”
I wonder if Ojou-sama is planning to bring the soap.
Honestly I want it very much, but if expensive soap is used for dish washing, it is certain to be yelled at(hit/beaten) by the head chef.
“Because soap is expensive, using it for something like washing is a waste. Since it is my job, it’s fine.”
Certainly, although when you think about it a little bit, for Ojou-sama soap may be cheap, I guess because I’m tired.
I am somewhat irritated, I ignored Ojou-sama who was standing nearby and continued washing.
“Are there orange peels? Mikan(mandarin oranges?) is also okay.”
What is Mikan? I wonder is she wants to eat an orange.
Even though I am busy! I really do not have the leisure to entertain a child.
“There is an orange at the corner right before entering the kitchen. Please get someone to cut it.”
I muttered absentmindedly without looking towards Ojou-sama
Even I think I am completely venting my anger…… If it is this kind of attitude to the other party Ojou-sama in this case you may be fired at the worst.
I was so irritated by the grime that would not come off.
Ojou-sama kept silent and went towards the kitchen.

Somehow when I managed to polish the second pot.
“Oーraーnーgeー Seーnzaーーーi!”

Suddenly a loud voice was heard, I was startled by Ojou-sama’s voice.
“I I I I was surprised! ! Please don’t scare me!”
“Excuse me(Gomennasai). Orange senzaーi（small voice）”
“……What is orange senzai?”
“To remove oil! By all means try using it. The tea stains will also come off.”
“……”
What is sensai?
Can you get on with your child’s play! Thereupon ignoring, I picked up a pot that I have yet to wash.
Then, Ojou-sama put the orange senzai to wash the pot at hand.
“What are you doing? ……Eh?”
Amazingly came off. The oil stain amazingly came off. It came off just like magic.
Picking up the tea cup gingerly, again Ojou-sama put the orange senzai at hand.
Tea stains, super came off.
I involuntarily opened my eyes widely and stared at Ojou-sama.
“Super came off……”
Ojou-sama grinned broadly, laughed and moved to go away.
From this day, Orange senzai flourishes greatly in the Edelweiss Earl residence.
