One Night at the Inn 22

Going with the flow of Lu’s great customer service, Hael almost said ‘yes’ without thought. As soon as Lu had said that there were 2 rooms left for 3 people each, Id tapped Hael’s shoulders, and as soon as she turned around, everyone nodded their heads. It was because of Id. Feeling Hael’s hesitance, Lu insisted on being patient.

“Dear guests, there shouldn’t be any rooms available at any of the other inns.”

Id personally interfered.

“No, it’s just that we need 1 room for 4, and 1 room for 2.”

Lu had survived till now with her quick senses, but she was unable to understand what this woman was saying.

“What?”

Leaving the surprised Lu and the leering Id aside, the rest of the group decided to have a little meeting. There were 2 rooms for 3 people each, but 2 females and 4 males.

“However, even if we were to go to a different inn, there’s no telling that they would have any rooms for us. Everything is by chance. If we were to go to a different inn, we may miss out on the rooms that are available here.”

“I agree with what Hael is saying. Let’s just reserve the rooms here? We’ll just divide the rooms ourselves.”

“Id, how about it?”

Everyone turned to stare at Id, and Id could do nothing but to agree with the group.

“Then let’s do it that way. You said your name was Lu? We’ll use those rooms you were speaking of.”

As if waiting for this moment, Illan quickly registered his name in the guest book.

“Yes, alright. The rooms are on the 2nd floor. Lia!”

“Yes, elder sister.”

“Please direct these dear guests of ours.”

Lia, who was busily moving around in the diner on the first floor, answered back with an energetic voice.

“Kyaaa!!”

Crash.

It was at that moment. Lia, who was walking towards the group, suddenly fell to the ground as all the dishes that she was holding, fell onto the floor. All the guests simultaneously turned their heads to the sound, as Lia quickly popped her up from below the table. She didn’t seem to be hurt. However, her face expression seemed to be at a loss. The table that was in front of her had 4 angry looking men acting haughtily. A man with thick eyebrows spoke with a disgusting smile on his face.

“Uh, I’m quite sorry for that. I wasn’t able to see you passing by.”

Then, the man that was sitting directly across chimed in.

“That’s right, we were unable to see.”

Then, as if to show that it really was their fault, the 4 men began to laugh. Although there were people who stared at them with disgust, they had decided to look away. Plenty of courage was needed for a person to go out of their way when it could just be a little joke. The 4 men had swords on their hips, and if one was to fight against them, it meant that they had to fight against all of them and their swords.

Not wanting to make a big fuss about the situation, Lia quickly cleaned around her and walked away. By the time she had arrived to where the group was, her face looked as if nothing had happened.

“Dear guests, please follow me.”

The impetuous Grey was only able to hold back from the current situation, because Hael was holding him by the arm. Hael was doing well with holding back someone who was much larger than her, and although Grey could have pushed her aside, he did not do so. If Hael was not there, Grey would have quickly attacked the 4 men. They both seemed to be quite used to controlling each other. Of course, it was Hael who was holding Grey back for the most part.

Grey memorized how the 4 men looked, and as if he was being pulled by Hael, he slowly went upstairs. Even the rest of the members of the group, they had stared at the men with cold eyes and went upstairs.

“It is this room here, and that room there. Please rest well.”

After guiding the group to their rooms, Lia passed their keys over to them and quickly went back to the 1st floor.

“Sigh, those damn bastards.”

“Restrain yourself. I’m sure it’s because they had one too many to drink for the night.”

As Illan opened the door to the room, he tried to pacify Grey. The group quickly went into the room.

“Ah, we’re going to go eat right now, so just place your luggage down and come outside.”

Tired from fatigue, the group sat down on the beds, but with Hael’s words, they quickly got back up.

Within the diner, the 4 men were still loudly chattering about.

“Chet, those bastards are really getting on my nerves.”

As Grey mumbled to himself, he sat down at an empty table. There were plenty of empty tables around them, but Grey purposely chose one that was closest to the 4 men.

“So unlucky.”

Grey bluntly looked at the 4 men and continued to mumble to himself. Hael, who was beside him, elbowed him in his side and spoke.

“Stop it, Grey. They can hear you.”

As Hael continued to stop Grey, he eventually stopped opening his mouth. Soon after, the girl named Lia came to the group with menus in hand.

“What would you like to order?”

“Is there anything that you recommend?”

“Of course, miss priest. Our duck dish called Elminin is quite delicious today.”

“Really? Then I want Elminin. Grey you eat that too. We want 2 Elminin for us.”

Without giving Grey a chance to respond back, Hael quickly ordered the dishes.

It was very obvious that Hael wanted to be the decision maker for Grey in everything.

“Then I’ll try that Elminin as well. And, if you have dark beer, we’ll get an order of that with 2 glasses.”

“Mm, I just want a little bit of soup and bread. And, some weak wine. Now that I think about it, Grey and Hael didn’t order any drinks, right? Let’s add a veggie juice and another order of beer.”
