One Night at the Inn 24

“You’re just so-so.”

Just so-so? However, this was from Id’s point of view. To Illan and Reindelph, Grey’s skills were one of envy. Seeing the envy in their eyes, Id clicked his tongue.

“If you can’t do even this much compared to a mage, female priest, and dwarf then you might as well stop practicing the sword.”

With another bang, another person fell onto the ground – kissing the floor. However, there was a limit to how much Grey could utilize the movement technique within the small diner. Having turned towards the wrong direction, Grey had his back against the post and was now cornered by 2 of the 4 men. In an urgent haste, Hael tugged on Illan’s sleeve.

“I, Illan. Umm….”

“Mm….”

Standing up with meat in his mouth, Illan grabbed his rod.

However, Id spoke with a full mouth and stopped Illan from moving.

“Mm? Wat’s wong, Ideung. Chew chew. If vee leab, chew, Grey like dat.”

“I will ttake caree ob it, chew chew. So, jusstt seet dowwnn.”

The two mumbled to each other as they spat a little here and there. Id wasn’t exactly sure of what Grey’s skills were like. If Grey hadn’t learned how to use the movement technique, Id wouldn’t have let him go out to fight in the first place.

Forming a slight smile on his face, Id began to rub his index finger against his middle finger. Although there was some smoke that had appeared, it disappeared so quickly that nobody else noticed it. With food in his mouth, Id walked over as if he was just a passerby, and flicked his finger. The man with his back towards Id was hit in an acupuncture point on the back, and the other man was hit on an acupuncture point on his left shoulder.

Invisible finger! This skill worked especially well on men. Furthermore, this attack showed no visible damage to the enemy’s body, so if one wasn’t well versed in battle, they wouldn’t know what hit them.

“Kek.”

“Ugh.”

The first man to get hit with the attack grabbed his chest, fell onto the ground, and fainted. The other man suddenly fell back while twisting his body.

Id recalled the teachings he had received from his elder sisters. They said that women had to be protected, and should be treated with reverence.

Illan, who was carefully staring at Id, seemed to be very surprised. He stared down at the men that were on the floor and proceeded to ask Id.

“Id? Are they by chance like that because of you?”

Several food pieces fell out from his mouth. Id rubbed his face as if nothing happened, then nodded his head.

“What did you do?”

“There are many mysterious places on the human body.”

Mysterious places? Such an answer wasn’t enough to satisfy Illan’s curiosity.

“But, how long do those guys have to stay like that for?”

Id absentmindedly stared as he responded back.

“They can stay like that until they die. Or, if they think that they should never ever bother women ever again, then I might release them.”

A few moments later, security guards raided in with Lu’s report. As soon as the security guards came in, they began to grumble as they knew who the suspects were. They then proceeded to arrest the 4 men laying on the ground. Seeing as how the situation was already under control, they didn’t ask many questions and instead tried to identify the extent of the damages done. Of course, Id didn’t forget to release the men before they were taken away.

Having done a little warm up with the fight, Grey was now eating away at the food that had been prepared for them, while Illan was busily bothering Id to teach him how to use the strange finger magic.

Id made sure to remember that these people here were the type to be very bothersome.

A few moments later, a 2nd round of food came out.

“Umm, we never ordered this wine and steak.”

Lu quickly came to explain to the group the reason behind the extra food, and that it was to thank them for their help. The 4 men from before were new to the town and were well known to be trouble makers these days. She also proceeded to tell the group that it was a common occurrence during the festival. The group raised their glasses for a cheer, and Illan made sure to say a word before they drank.

“This is the first time I get to eat free food, because of you. You’re always the one causing trouble.”

Having filled their bellies, everyone in the group was smiling and tapping their bellies, when Lia suddenly came closer.

“Did you guys eat well?”

Illan coolly responded back.

“Thanks to you we did.”

Tea was placed onto the table from Lia’s tray.

“Here, drink some tea. Although, I’m not sure if it’ll suit your taste buds, since I randomly brought it along. Here is honey tea for the mage, swordsman, and dwarf. And, herb tea for the 3 women.”

Herb tea for the 3 women…… a chilly breeze blew onto the group once again. In any case, anything that had to do with Id made the atmosphere awkward. However, that was also but a moment. As soon as Id’s face expression changed, everyone looked away and pretended to be busy looking at things that were far away. Unable to understand the reason, Lia asked with a blush to her face.

“What….”

Grey was the one to interfere this time as well. Id was dissatisfied with the fact that Grey always tried to explain in Id’s stead. It would’ve been better if it was Hael doing it instead.

“Kek, the thing is, keukeu. There are only 2 ‘ladies’ here. Id here is, haha, Id is a guy, not a woman. Hahahahaha.”

Lia’s face became completely red as she stared at Id with her face down.

“I, I’m sorry. I made a mistake…..”

Id splendidly waved his hand. One could see fire within his eyes as he stared at Grey laughing.

“It’s okay. You don’t have to worry too much about it. It’s not like this is the first time it’s happened to me, so don’t worry.”

After apologizing a few more times, Lia finally walked away from the group. Every time something like this happened, Id’s feelings felt a bit complicated.

‘Damn it, it’s all because of the ‘fairy jade’. Not only that, but I also familiarized myself with the ‘heart of the jade dragon’ for my country. I’m so foolish to be going through these situations because of them.’
