Chun Hwa in a Strange Nation 6

“I can’t explain it too well…….because it was something that happened in an instant. But, like I said earlier, I was in a valley of the Cheongnyeong mountains when it suddenly felt like the floor between my feet disappeared. Then, a rampant light surrounded me, and I was within this cave. Because I fell unconscious, I thought this place was an illusion, but seeing the situation I’m in right now, I know that it isn’t one.”

Chun Hwa gave the best explanation he could, and then a moment after, a buzz could be heard within Chun Hwa’s head again.

“Although the chances are slim, after listening to what you said, it sounds like you went through a dimensional transfer.”

Dimensional transfer? He had heard of it before, but thinking that it was irrelevant, Chun Hwa inquisitively asked.

“What do you mean by dimension? Are you saying that the ground I’m standing on and this world, is completely different from the world that I was born and raised in?”

The ginormous head slowly nodded.

“That’s right. In the beginning, God created your world, my world, and other worlds, and placed a wall in between them. The worlds that are separated between those walls are what we call dimensions.”

Chun Hwa nodded his head, as he repeated its words again.

‘Then what is it, Heaven and Hell is a place you automatically go to after you die, so it can’t be it. Is it similar to an enchanted land? Then how do I get back?’

Only wanting to know the answer to this question, Chun Hwa cut the dragon off and asked.

“Then what’s the method to pass through that wall again?”

Seeing as how the dragon knew many things, Chun Hwa felt intense emotions of wanting to depend on it. Knowing the cause of the issue, there was a high chance that it had a method to fix it, so Chun Hwa was hoping for a positive response. However, the beast was the type to provide the bottle, but not the medicine, and a resolute answer could be heard.

“I don’t know. Those that can ignore the existence of the wall would be the creator of this world, and his first creations – the source of light and the source of darkness. I’ve never heard of any other exceptions besides them, even if they were other gods, in being able to cross over. No, I can’t say that anymore, since you’re here. But, don’t be so distressed. There must be a method somewhere.”

Hearing the words of what sounded like comfort for Chun Hwa, he slightly smiled.

‘Sigh, I’m at a loss. I need to find a method that even gods don’t know of? So, me crossing over, does that mean the creator was just messing around? Can’t be, it’s the creator of everything, so there’s no reason for it to. I want to cry.’

Having become frustrated, Chun Hwa sat down. And, the dragon next to him, continued to be silent. For a moment, silence reigned over the two, and the one to break that silence was the curious Chun Hwa.

“But, who are you?”

Suddenly seeing white teeth that looked like sharp boulders, Chun Hwa believed that it was smiling, and felt that it was quite disgusting to see.

“You’re probably the only human to be so confident in front of a dragon. Well, I guess it’s normal since you don’t really understand the meaning of a dragon. Let me introduce myself, my name is Greydrone.”

Chun Hwa repeated the strange name with his own mouth. His face seemed to look calm as he was doing so.

“Greydrone…….what a strange name. Then, what are you doing in here?”

Moving its big claw, Greydrone pointed at something that was next to Chun Hwa.

“I’m guarding that sword. It’s been almost 10,000 years since I’ve started.”

“10,000 years? Is that time that you’re talking about?”

With a sound, Chun Hwa’s mouth opened. Being tired of doubting everything, Chun Hwa decided to accept everything as it was said. This world wasn’t a place he could understand, no matter how hard he put his thought into it. Hearing 10,000 years, Chun Hwa’s eyes were wide with surprise. He did not even doubt that it had guarded the sword for 10,000 years.

This time, his question went a different route.

“10,000 years? Does that mean you’re over the age of 10,000, Greydrone?”

Chun Hwa’s words were entangled because of the shock he had received.

Greydrone’s voice sounded solemn as he spoke.

“My age is approximately 16,000 years. I’m not sure of the exact number.”

“Then should I talk to you formally……sir?”

Thinking of the manner’s he had learned from his hometown, he asked Greydrone.

“You don’t need to. Just speak to me as you have till now. It’s more comfortable for me that way.”

Hearing Greydrone’s soft tone of voice, it really sounded like he did not care of such things.

‘Anyhow, 10,000 years………How pitiful. It had to guard that silly sword there for such a long time.’

Thinking up to there, Chun Hwa’s hand automatically moved towards the sword beside him. As he did, Greydrone released a bloody cry making Chun Hwa stop his hand.

“You can’t! That sword has a life and will of its own. If someone else besides its owner touches it……..that person will cease to exist. That’s why, you cannot touch it.”

Hearing those words, cold sweat began to fall on Chun Hwa’s back. If he was a little late, everything would’ve been over. If he was to disappear in this world where he had no connections…….

Where was he supposed to go if there was no nether world.

Chun Hwa consciously moved away from the sword and sat down. He then stared at Greydrone with an expression of ridicule.

“Who exactly made this ridiculous sword? No, Who’s the owner of this sword? Nevermind. I don’t even need to ask this question. You’re guarding this sword because it doesn’t have an owner.”

That’s when Greydrone released a long sigh from his nostril, that looked to be the size of a small cave, then began to pour out the details of his situation.
