Hello there. It’s me, Patora Fuyuhara. We’ve finally released the fifth volume of In Another World With My Smartphone. Thanks again for sticking with me this far. I hope you continue to enjoy my work. In the last volume, Touya became the ruler of a country, and he’s now the grand duke of Brunhild. From here, the story will become about Touya’s journey across the world, using his duchy as a home base. He has a home now, so he won’t be lugging around so much dead weight. Plus, he has alliances with the surrounding nations, so they’ll help him if he encounters trouble, and vice versa. Going forward, the story will see Touya traveling to various countries with his entourage, solving various confrontations. Don’t expect it to mix up too heavily just yet, though. In Another World With My Smartphone was written to be an easy-going, comfy adventure, after all. In this volume, Pam uses a pretty basic syllable-based language. I toyed around with the idea of making her speak in symbols like ???????, but I thought that might be a little boring. In the end, it doesn’t really matter if you can’t understand what she’s saying. There’s no hidden story in her lines or anything, so it’s fine.
I wrote a bit about a wedding in this volume, did you know I used to work for a place that held weddings? The only issue is, the place held weddings in Hall A, and... funerals in Hall B. There were a few times where I got the two places mixed up, and there was one particular incident where I nearly rushed into the middle of a funeral to deliver a “congratulations” card... That would’ve been dangerous, for sure... Alright, it’s time to give my thanks as usual. Eiji Usatsuka, thank you again for your illustrations. I really liked the pictures in this volume, they’re just so lovely. I’ve seen the ones for the next volume, and they’re amazing too! K. As usual, thank you so much. Sorry if I’m ever a burden.
