When Xue Ying brought out the Black Gourd, the treasure spirit became anxious . He hurriedly transmitted, "Stop stop stop, stop at this very instant . Hurry up and drip a drop of fresh blood on top of the Black Gourd!"
If the treasure spirit mentioned other stuff, Xue Ying would ignore him . After all, the Ancestor Mother Religion protectors would hide if he delayed a little longer . But what the treasure spirit uttered caused him to halt .
"Drip a drop of fresh blood on the Black Gourd?" Xue Ying let his imaginations run wild .
"You who do not want your life, hurry up and drip a drop of blood on it . Isn't this what you wanted all along?" The treasure spirit urged .
Xue Ying had his views . The left hand which was grabbing the Black Gourd squeezed a drop of blood out . This drop of blood reached the Black Gourd before being absorbed .
"Weng–"
Xue Ying could feel ripples of close, pleasant feeling from the Black Gourd . It felt as if the gourd was his limbs . He could easily sense the entire presence within the gourd–an enormous mystical array that wrapped around a fireball . This fireball contained an infinite strength . That ripple when employed might be just the tip of the iceberg of what power this fireball had, but despite so, it was restrained by the void array!
The fireball was red in color . Endless waves of fire were rolling within . The power it possessed could hardly be conceived .
"This, this . . . " Xue Ying yearned for this Black Gourd for many years . Even after understanding the cultivation technique, he never had such a distinct and intimate feeling of the fireball .
"Treasure spirit, have I just succeeded in refining the Black Gourd?" Xue Ying could not help but convey a question . He had not understood the cultivation technique, yet he could clearly sense the entire Black Gourd . It was a feeling only the owner who refined it could follow . "Yes yes yes . " Xue Ying was enthralled and unconvinced at the same time, "I feel that I have refined it too, but it was clear I did not do anything . I've done what you asked me to–drip a drop of blood on it and I succeeded in refining it?"
The treasure spirit sneered, "Dong Bo, do you really think that a Paragon will be able to refine a protective treasure such as this Black Gourd? The Black Gourd contains a mystical array within . Can't you feel for it?"
"I've experienced it . "
Xue Ying continued, "Spending more than 600,000 years studying this array, all I've comprehended is only a trace and the tip of an iceberg . I have no confidence of completing the trial in a million years!"
"Hmph hmph, this is an array which can suppress the fireball . Even if your teacher Bloodshed God-Emperor is the one refining it, he will not succeed!" The treasure spirit transmitted, "A Paragon, even if he spent 10 billion years in trying to refine it, will only fail in the end if he attempted to do it solely by himself . "
"Then why did Senior Voidwalker left behind the third trial that requires the undertaker to refine it within a million years?" Xue Ying was puzzled .

The treasure spirit explained, "There are three trials . Taking the Black Gourd with your strength during the first trial demonstrated that you have the potential to reach a higher level . The second trial assesses your comprehension ability . After all, few would inherit and take over the Voidwalker mantle . It isn't something everyone is qualified to cultivate on . Your comprehension ability led to your success . As for the third trial, what it tests is your personality!"
"Personality?" Xue Ying felt his heart jolting . He had some guesses .
"If it were a wicked existence, the stronger he is, the more harm he would bring to the many lives . And the pioneer of the Voidwalkers is someone benevolent . He isn't willing to kill an ordinary little ant . He had been to many places and cosmos and had helped many weak little beings . There was a rule which he set a long time ago–those of his lineage, even if he wasn't someone benevolent, must not be someone wicked . "
"Thus, the third trial is in reality, a trial of observation by this treasure spirit . I've been observing every single action of yours to scrutinize your personality . "
"If your personality is wicked . . . then I'll naturally disappear after a million years . "
"If you succeeded in the personality trial, I'll let you drip a drop of blood to allow the recognition of the new owner after a million years . "
"Originally, the length of the trial is a million years . But you, brat, is truly seeking a death road . Regardless of that, I can clearly discern who you are as a person over the past 600,000 years . The treatment of your disciples, the old friends and brothers of yours, and your people . . . have clearly shown who you are as a person! You have done excellent in this . Xue Ying finally understood . The last trial ultimately depended on the decision made by this treasure spirit! That's right . Since Senior Voidwalker was no longer around, he would have arranged everything for the treasure spirit to handle .

"What is happening? The previous opportunity was excellent, yet you did not attack them . Now, they have gone back into hiding . " White Sovereign King asked through a voice transmission too . He felt that he should not be blaming Xue Ying, but those were things they had planned previously, and Xue Ying had not done so .
"Brother Dong Bo?" Paragon Huo Cheng shouted out too .
As Xue Ying heard the incoming voice transmissions, he finally reacted . He turned around towards that group of Paragons . Heavenly Emperor of Great Destruction, White Sovereign King, Devil Phoenix, Mysterious North Imperial Empress and others were all staring at Xue Ying at this moment . Ultimately, he was the crux of winning this battle .
"I am ashamed . "
Xue Ying continued replying, "It is tough to employ this strange treasure . I was prepared to use it when I had slight enlightenment, boosting my control over the treasure . Now, I could perform the move a few more times . That was why I was delayed . "

Why did he not employ it? Unless he failed? That's right . It isn't easy for such a great strange treasure to be employed a few times consecutively . Maybe he could no longer use it again! If that's the case, we will win!"
