Yuan Huan must have taken her phone.
Yuan Xi sat on the ground limply. It was so cold that it felt as though it could make her blood freeze over.
She suddenly heard a click and spotlights lit up from overhead instantly lighting up the room.
Yuan Xi automatically raised her hand to block her eyes. After she had grown accustomed to the light, she put down her hand. She could finally see her surroundings.
It was a large confined space with a metal bed in the center of the room. She could see some unknown apparatus beside the bed.
!!Yuan Xi recognized the place instantly. It was the very place where she discovered the truth about Yuan Huan.
It was the laboratory where he conducted human testing.
Yuan Xi’s face became even paler. She raised her head and saw Yuan Huan walking in through the door. He had taken off his disguise as he walked over nonchalantly like a demon straight from hell.
As Yuan Huan approached her, Yuan Xi automatically tried to move away. She said with her voice trembling, “W-what do you want from? Why did you bring me here?”
Yuan Huan stood towering over Yuan Xi. He squatted down and laughed softly. “You’re my biological sister. What could I possibly do to you, right?”
Yuan Xi bit her lip and did not believe a word he said.
Yuan Huan smiled as he retrieved a phone from his pocket. It was none other than Yuan Xi’s phone. He tapped on the phone and said, “I’m interested in your friend.”
Yuan Xi opened her eyes wide instantly and glanced at the phone in his hand. She almost instantly knew who he was talking about.
He wanted to use her against Huo Yao!
In the past, anyone who entered the room could forget about leaving alive.
“Can you please let her off? She’s just a normal innocent girl. She has no research value for you.” Yuan Xi spoke with tears in her eyes. She wanted to extend her hand and grab Yuan Huan’s leg, but she did not dare to touch him.
The moment she mentioned Huo Yao was just an innocent girl, a murderous aura emanated from Yuan Huan’s eyes. “Are you calling her innocent? Don’t you know how I ended up behind bars? I have your friend to thank for it.”
“I don’t understand…” Yuan Xi automatically refused to believe him.
Yuan Huan scoffed gently. He suddenly pulled down his top to reveal the healed gunshot wound. “Your friend gave me this gunshot wound.”
“Impossible. You must be mistaken,” said Yuan Xi, shaking her head.
If it was someone else, she might have believed him. She simply did not believe thatHuo Yao was capable of shooting him.
Yuan Huan did not take it to heart when Yuan Xi refused to believe him. He pulled his shirt back up and stood up. He composed himself and glanced at Yuan Xi. “You’re lucky to be friends with her.”
Yuan Xi did not understand what Yuan Huan was driving at, but she knew his ruthless personality well.
She was his half-sister. Otherwise, she would have died on this metal bed a few years ago.
Yuan Huan tapped on Yuan Xi’s phone. Since it was enabled with face recognition, he held the phone in front of her face and the screen promptly unlocked.
After some time, Yuan Xi finally noticed what he had done. “What are you doing with my phone?”
