“You’re finally home.” Huo Yulin scrutinized Huo Yao up and down and asked casually. “Why are you so late?”

Huo Yao did not take off her coat. Instead, she pulled it closer to her body. “I was held up at school, so I came back a little later.”

Huo Yulin did not stop to question the veracity of her words, especially since he already knew she was not hanging out with Min Yu. He nodded and said, “Oh yes. I have something to show you.”

Huo Yao walked over. “What?”

Huo Yulin walked out with a vial of solution and handed it to Huo Yao. “Here you go.”

“Is this the analysis solution?” Huo Yao looked at the late blue solution in the vial. “Is the academy still working on this?”

Huo Yulin shook his head. “Nope. Since the academy’s research data got stolen, the project came to a standstill. This solution was created based on the data provided by Yuan Huan. They were going to destroy it, so I took one when they weren’t looking.”

Yuan Huan had inserted himself into the National Academy of Medicine for years. He used his position to steal the academy research data and offered to help by giving them his notes for the analysis solution. Someone was undoubtedly behind this.

Huo Yao pondered and said, “I’ll pass this to Lei Xiao and get him to run a detailed analysis of its contents.”

“Okay then.” Huo Yulin did not specialize in medicine, and that’s why wanted to pass the analysis solution to Huo Yao.

After Huo Yao placed the vial into her pocket, her phone rang.

It was a call from Zhuo Yun, so Huo Yao answered the phone immediately.

“Miss Huo, your friend has regained consciousness.” Zhuo Yun stood outside the hospital ward as he made the call. He paused and continued. “She looks deeply traumatized. After asking about you, she requested to be sent back to campus. However, the doctor wanted her to stay in a few days for observation.”

Huo Yao knew how Yuan Xi felt. She paused for a few seconds and said, “Since she wants to go back to campus, please just send her back.”

“Okay then.” Before long, Zhuo Yun hung up the phone and went back into the hospital ward.

Huo Yao put away her phone. After saying a few words to her third older brother, she went upstairs to her room.

Huo Yulin watched from behind until his little sister disappeared out of sight. He went to the couch and took a seat. Shortly after he picked up his laptop, his phone rang.

He paused briefly before putting down the laptop. Since it was Chen Ming calling him, he quickly answered it. “Hi, Uncle Ming.”

“Young Master Yulin, I’ve found Yuan Huan.” Chen Ming promptly updated him about the situation.

Huo Yulin paused briefly. “How is he?”

“Uh huh. When we found him, he was delirious and seemed to have completely lost his mind. I wonder who did it.” Chen Ming found this bewildering. He had already sent men to investigate this matter, but nothing came of it.

For some reason, the moment he heard about Yuan Huan’s condition, his little sister came to mind suddenly. After all, she was out late tonight.

Before long, he quickly shook his head and threw the thought to the back of his mind.

His little sister had a lazy personality. If no one tried to touch her, she would never bother with it.

Chen Ming updated him about Yuan Huan before he finally said, “Fan Shun is here.”

Huo Yulin’s face instantly turned cold. “Why did he leave?”

“I don’t know either. I told my men to keep an eye on Yuan Huan at the airports. They inadvertently saw him show up at the airport in Country M,” said Chen Ming promptly.

“I’m sure he’s up to no good, so keep an eye on him,” said Huo Yulin sternly with his eyes narrowed.

“Sure,” replied Chen Ming.
