Chen Ming’s face turned icy cold. The airport employees stood by the side nervously and did not dare to come close to him. When they had to speak to him, they spoke cautiously.
Since no one had touched the airport surveillance, Chen Ming spotted Huo Yao in the footage before long.
After ascertaining Huo Yao’s movements through the airport’s surveillance cameras, they finally confirmed that she was last seen near the parking lot designated for airport management.
When Chen Ming told the airport employees to check the surveillance footage for the parking lot, the footage came out black. Someone had clearly covered the cameras with something.
The airport employees hurriedly explained. “The parking lot is intended for employees, and outsiders are not given access, so it isn’t a high priority for us in terms of security. That’s probably why we failed to detect anything amiss with the surveillance cameras.”

Chen Ming clenched his fists as he looked at the surveillance footage. He thanked the airport employees before leaving the surveillance control room.
He headed straight to the parking lot in question.
It was a relatively small parking lot containing roughly five cars. Chen Ming looked around, but he was unable to find Huo Yao.
He was unable to find Miss Huo or even confirm if she had entered the parking lot at all.
Chen Ming turned to leave with a serious look on his face. After walking a few steps, he saw something from the corner of his eye. He promptly turned and took a couple of steps forward. He bent over and picked up a long slender silver needle from the ground.
Chen Ming could tell it was no ordinary silver needle. He had seen Huo Yao’s silver needles, so he instantly recognized them.
Something had undoubtedly happened to Miss Huo.
Chen Ming had wished with all his heart that Huo Yao was safe, but all hope dissipated with the needle in his hand.

Meanwhile, on the other end.
Min Yu was talking to someone, so he did not take out his phone when he sensed it vibrating in his pocket.
Roughly ten minutes later, Zhuo Yun opened the conference room door and walked straight to Min Yu anxiously. “Boss, something happened.”
Min Yu narrowed his eyes as he looked sideways at Zhuo Yun. “What?”
Zhuo Yun spoke hurriedly with his phone in hand. “You told us to check on Miss Huo’s grandmother yesterday. I think she’s not doing well.”
Min Yu promptly felt worried and looked at him solemnly. “What do you mean?”
“She’s very ill. The hospital told us Old Madam Yang has already been hospitalized for a few days and is in critical condition. She might…” Zhuo Yun halted mid-sentence without saying she might die.
The pen in Min Yu’s hand fell onto the table. It was the first time he reacted strongly about anything.
Old Madam Yang meant a lot to Huo Yao. She probably was even more important to Huo Yao than her biological family.
Huo Yao had mentioned going back to visit Old Madam Yang a couple of days ago. When she brought it up, her face looked particularly soft.
If she found out that Old Madam Yang was dying, she undoubtedly would not take the news well. Min Yu inhaled deeply as he pondered. He stood up and said, “Prepare a chopper.”
The moment he finished his sentence, he strode out of the conference room.
Min Yu’s business partner was caught at a loss as Min Yu stepped out of the conference room. Zhuo Yun apologized to the man and quickly followed behind Min Yu and caught up.

Zhuo Yun had already prepared the helicopter the moment he received news about Old Madam Yang’s critical condition.
Before long, Min Yu got to the chopper pad. He gave Huo Yao a call before boarding the chopper, but no one answered.
