Huo Yao could sense two people standing behind her, so she saved her work on the computer before turning her head sideways slightly and looking at them quizzically.

Liu Qian wanted to ask why she was taking so long today when he decided that she was probably trying to be more cautious. He promptly said, “Just continue working and don’t mind us.”

Huo Yao raised her brow and acknowledged them before turning to resume work.

She glanced at the steps she had already done and contemplated for a few seconds before slowing down a little.

Her calculations were far simpler than the syllabus and required a lot fewer steps. If she wanted to finish her work at a normal speed, she could only slow down.

More importantly, everyone thought that she was a computing rookie.

Liu Qian still felt bewildered by her speed.

They spent the entire afternoon in the laboratory doing calculations until it was past 5:00 pm.

Huo Yao saved her work before turning off the computer.

Wang Jing sorted out her drafts, placed them in her bag, and raised her head to ask. “Shall we eat at the canteen? You can hang out at my dorm after dinner.”

Since Wang Jing was not local, she stayed on campus even though she was already studying for her PhD.

She was not alone. Dai Jie and Tang Jun also resided on the campus and rarely went out. All of them were diligent students who did not get distracted by other things.

Huo Yao smiled. “I don’t stay in the dorm.”

“Huh? I see, you must be local!” Wang Jing blinked.

“Nope. My family has a place here,” explained Huo Yao simply.

The moment Wang Jing heard this, she instantly exclaimed in surprise. “I didn’t expect you to be a rich woman!”

The capital had the most expensive real estate in the country, so any random house’s value would start in millions.

Wang Jing’s eyes glinted in envy.

Huo Yao hurriedly corrected herself. “I am living with someone else.”

The moment she finished her sentence, she checked her watch and said, “I have to go. If I go home late, there will be no dinner left for me.”

“Huh?” Thoughts instantly emerged in Wang Jing’s mind the moment she heard what Huo Yao said. She suddenly sighed sympathetically. “You poor thing.”

Huo Yao was already at the door when she heard this and promptly stumbled.

Huo Yao got into the car after she arrived at the school entrance. She quickly glanced at the car as she put on her seat belt. After tilting her head sideways, she raised her brow and said, “I see you changed your car.”

Rich people could get away with anything. Under the shoddy exterior, the car was fitted with the best parts.

Min Yu acknowledged softly before he started the engine and drove off. “I sent the old car for maintenance.”

Huo Yao thought about the car chase they encountered previously and nodded in agreement. She looked out of the car window lazily as she pulled some loose hair behind her ear. The car window was half-open right up to her nose.

Another car was driving next to them with the car window half rolled down as well. The profile sitting in the driver’s seat looked slightly familiar.

The man in the car on the right seemed to detect Huo Yao looking at him, so he shifted his head slightly and glanced in her direction. For a moment, there was a profound look in his eyes before he quickly composed himself.

Yuan Huan smiled discreetly when he noticed it was Huo Yao. However, he did not keep his eyes on her for long and simply looked away unhurriedly.

There was a junction up ahead and the light was green. Moments later, both cars signaled to turn left and right respectively..
