The Hundred-Ghost Forest.
It was a very creepy forest to the south of Dragonquarry.
Reason being that all the monsters here were spirit-type monsters, and they were all quite powerful.
“Gah!”
At this time, next to the river in the middle of the forest, a ripple suddenly appeared. Jiang Feng fell out from within, and he immediately threw up a mouthful of blood.
While Tathagata’s final attack did not hit him, the attack before that did cause him to receive the Heavy Injury and Fatigue statuses.
He took out the Lianyao Flask and then called out Zhu Bajie. He then said to him with a pale face, “Old Zhu, guard me, alright?”
“Alright,” Zhu Bajie said as he looked at the bloodied man. He did not expect Jiang Feng to survive after an encounter with Tathagata, and he was quite surprised.
There were only three people that Zhu Bajie was afraid of: Sun Wukong, Chang’e, and the last one being Tathagata.
The reason that he was afraid of Chang’e was because he was afraid that she would not be happy, afraid that she would be miserable. Meanwhile, he was afraid of Sun Wukong and Tathagata because of their power.
Especially Tathagata. He had struck fear into his heart.
Jiang Feng had earned Zhu Bajie’s respect for being able to escape from him in one piece.
Whoosh~
Just as Jiang Feng was treating his negative status effects, the sounds of something moving in the grass came from around them.
Zhu Bajie held the rake in his hand tightly as his large ears twitched and he began to scan his surroundings.
Whoosh…
In a short while, several white shadows quickly swooped toward Zhu Bajie.
Zhu Bajie immediately slammed his Nine-Tooth Rake on the ground, and a light screen was raised from the ground, protecting both Jiang Feng and him within it.
Next, a Demesne shot out from his body, forming a white ball as it spun around him rapidly. As it did that, stars begin to fall and strike the white shadows.

All the white shadows that had been struck let out a terrible shriek.
Once they had been struck by Zhu Bajie’s Star Demesne, they all retreated and began to surround the light screen instead.
It was only at this time did Zhu Bajie manage to see what those things were.
They were spirits wearing nothing but a long garb. Even as they floated in the air, he could see that they were not ugly at all. Instead, they looked quite pretty.
The pretty spirits had taken Zhu Bajie by surprise. He had always thought that ghosts and spirits would all have blood smeared on their face as they terrorize others. However, these spirits were slightly different.
With the protection of the Star Demesne, the spirits could not reach them for a while since they were not that powerful in the first place. They were monsters that had reached Level 250 Heavenly Saint and could only be considered as entering the early stages of Heavenly Saint. They had not even formed their Demesnes yet, so they could be considered one of the weakest monsters in Dragonquarry.
“Ah… Ah…”
When the white-garbed spirits realized that they could not breach through the Star Demesne with their attacks, they then left.
As soon as the white-garbed spirits left, there was another terrible cry coming from nearby. They were very loud, and they were coming closer.
Very quickly, a throng of around 500 ugly spirits appeared, wearing nothing but ruined clothing on them.
The ugly spirits were called Spirit Yaksha, their powers were around a Level 300 Heavenly Saint, and could be considered to be at the middle stage of a Heavenly Saint. They had already formed their own Demesnes.
“Shifter Emperor, can you do it any faster? If they all attack at once, I might not be able to hold all of them back,” Zhu Bajie could feel the pressure as he looked at the 500 Spirit Yakshas.
If there were only around a hundred of them, he could still deal with them easily. But there were around 500 of them, and they had all formed their Demesnes. It would be very troublesome if he were to fight with them, and he might die here if he was not careful.
“You are afraid of these small fries despite being a Level 400 Divine Saint?” Jiang Feng rolled his eyes at Zhu Bajie.
Zhu Bajie rolled his eyes back at him too. “I am not as powerful as you. Do not think that everyone is as good as you, alright?”
“Give me two minutes,” Jiang Feng said. He had already eaten some pills and the negative statuses on him were slowly being removed. He only needed two minutes to return to his peak.
Zhu Bajie was still quite confident that he could buy them two minutes.
Just as he was prepared to fight with the Spirit Yakshas, he suddenly saw that the Spirit Yakshas had completely ignored his light screen and his Demesne, and immediately made their way in. In his shock, he quickly swung his Nine-tooth rake toward the Spirit Yakshas.
“Damn it! What are these things?! How could they have walked through my Demesne’s barrier and defenses?!” Zhu Bajie yelled as he attacked with uncertainty on his face.
Jiang Feng glanced at the Spirit Yakshas and said, “Your Star Demesne is not a defensive-type, that’s why it doesn’t have much effect against the Yakshas that have formed the Shadow Demesnes.”
All things in this world mutually reinforced and counteracted each other, and that included the Demesnes.
The Shadow Demesne was the anti-thesis for some of the attack-type Demesnes.
However, Zhu Bajie was shocked again when his rake simply passed through the bodies of the Spirit Yakshas.
“Be careful, some of the enemies that have formed the Shadow Demesne can be difficult to attack at night!” Jiang Feng reminded him again when he saw Zhu Bajie’s attacks.
In truth, he could already summon his Demesnes to help him, but he did not do that because he wanted to see Zhu Bajie’s true power.
Zhu Bajie had also seen through his plan, and therefore the Star Demesne that was rotating around him instantly became a bright star, brilliantly lighting up their surroundings.
The sudden appearance of the bright light caused the Spirit Yakshas to let out painful screams. Their bodies materialized as they attacked Zhu Bajie.
“The Rake that Held the Heaven!”
Zhu Bajie swung his Nine-tooth rake toward them again, and a bolt of light appeared and crashed into the dozens of Spirit Yakshas. They were instantly thrown away.
Unfortunately, there were more and more Spirit Yakshas advancing toward Zhu Bajie, and he was slowly being overwhelmed as they scratched on him, leaving behind bleeding scars.
“Alright, let me do it!” When he saw that Zhu Bajie was using so much effort, he stood up since he had almost recovered.
“Earth to earth, dust to dust, return to where you came from!” He then waved his hand and the Origin Demesne was thrown out. Wherever it might be, the Spirit Yakshas’ bodies became even more phantasmal. He then took out the Chaos Lightning Orb and hurled it toward them. Instantly, bolts of lightning were fired and all the Spirit Yakshas were blasted into dust.
Zhu Bajie was once again surprised when he saw the Spirit Yakshas disappear in droves.
He knew that Jiang Feng was very powerful, but he did not expect him to be so powerful.
While he was having a hard time trying to deal with the Spirit Yakshas, they did not even have the chance to get close to Jiang Feng before being decimated.
“Come on!” Jiang Feng gave Zhu Bajie’s shoulder a pat, and he was then prepared to fly out of the Hundred-Ghost Forest.
“Mommy, save me! Mommy…” Just as he was going to leave, he suddenly heard the voice of a young child begging for help. And it was quite a familiar voice too.
‘Why would there be children here?’ He flew toward where the voice came from as he decided not to leave because of his curiosity.
With his speed, he had quickly reached the depths of the Hundred-Ghost Forest.
“Hm? Why is she here?” He saw a familiar figure in the depths of the forest, and he was very curious about it.
