Ye Lanchen lifted his gaze slowly to meet Chu Wuyou’s.

Secretary Liu stood nearby. He thought First Young Lady Chu’s acting appeared rather pompous and his lips twitched as if he was suppressing a smile. Nonetheless, for reasons unknown to himself, her acting integrated into the given circumstance harmoniously.

In spite of that, he was unable to pinpoint which aspect in particular.
