Chapter 14

CASSIE'S POV

Another day has come . Cassie pulled herself out of her bed . It is Friday but she felt like she doesn't want to go to school today .

But remembering last night, her lips tear a wide smile . She never had this fun but only with her parents before, and last night, she felt pure happiness . . . it was like she was still dreaming this morning she woke up .

Cassie opens the faucet and washed her face to be fully awake, she needs to get ready for school soon .

After taking a quick shower, she gets the dress to semi-formal clothing . In this Island, they were allowed to wear any kind of clothes during Friday then change into their PE uniform during the subject period .

She wore a high neck white blouse then paired to a blue-white stripes spaghetti strap halter dress which the length is above her knee .

It was from one of her close friend in France, Kara who gave her these set of dress during her 16th birthday . She felt it was a little revealing and that is why she wore an under clothing to cover her skin .

Shun already notified her last night that he didn't want her anymore to ride her bike going to school and so, she will be sent by a car from now on . She doesn't want to agree but her bike tires are flat now and Shun doesn't want to fix it, then she cannot refuse .

Cassie chooses a navy blue flat shoes that made her foot look pretty on it . She also braided her hair and pulled into the side . She picks up her bag and her PE uniform then put it inside in her bag .

Downstairs were Shun, Rudolph and Daichi sitting in the living room and discussing something . The three men look up and watch her stepping down the staircase . Her cheeks are gotten red .

She is uncomfortable to be stared by them and so she can't meet their eyes .

"Good morning Master Shun, Mr . Rudolph, Mr . Daichi . . . " she greeted them and partly bows her head .

Daichi cannot hold not to whistles but Rudolph elbowed him and glared .

"Eh . . . I didn't mean to--" he did not finish his sentence because his boss throwing an evil look at him .

"Good morning, Cassie . " Shun greeted at her .

SHUN'S POV

In the living room, seated in the long sofa, Shun having coffee with Rudolph and Daichi while discussing something important matters . They heard footsteps from upstairs and so they look up .

Seeing Cassie going down the stairs, Shun can't blink even once as admiration showed on his eyes . Her semi-formal clothing made her look like a full bloom lady . . . and he has to blink several times to come back to his senses, thanks to Daichi's foolishness .

"Good morning, Cassie," he replied after realizing Cassie did greet them .

"After you having breakfast, I'll drive you to school," he said .

He stared at Cassie's face who's now very surprised to what he said .

"I am going to Seagull Resort to have a meeting with my engineers, I'll drop you as it is the same way . "

"Oh, I see . Okay, Master . I'll have my breakfast fast . " she then run to the kitchen .

"Take your time okay? Don't eat hurriedly . "

Silence is the most uncomfortable part when inside the car . Cassie was afraid for her Master to hear how fast her heartbeat being alone with him .

After what happens yesterday, her heart should be settled down now and at ease whenever she is around with Shun .

Confused, she doesn't understand why her heart acting like this and why she is very nervous .

"What the usual time your lunch break began?" asked Shun after a long moment . They are now halfway to her school .

"Uhm . . . around 11:30 Master," she replied .

"I see . I will pick you up during your lunch break . "

Dumbfounded, she can't let the words come out from her mouth . Cassie just stared at Shun, her eyes questioning her Master .

Shun turn his head to look at Cassie's face then answered, "since I'll stay in the resort the whole day and it is closer to your school, I'll fetch you for us to have lunch together . "

Cassie stays quiet and so Shun glance at her .

"Do you have another plan?" Shun stopped the car then waited for her to answer .

She looks up but tried to hid her blushing face .

"No . I don't have any plans . Okay," she nodded .

Shun smiled then opens the driver seat door and step out . Cassie wondered why he gets off and went around then opens the front seat door .

In the state of puzzlement, she realized they already arrived in the school . How come they arrived fast? Or because she was busy settling down her heartbeat that's why she didn't notice .

She sighed through embarrassment .

"Thank you, Master . "

"You are very welcome . "

She partly bowed then start walking fast towards her school building without looking back .

She notices everyone was curiously staring at her then glance behind her which is all the girls were like starstruck by someone .

When she turned around, she bumped into Shun's broad chest, she touched her forehead .

"Watch out," Shun right away hold both of her shoulders .

She glances at his hand that still holding her .

"Are you alright?" he asked worriedly .

"I . . . I am okay Master . . . I am just very surprised," she can't talk well when her heart beats rising from her chest .

"Why are you following me by the way?" she asked dazedly .

"I wanted to meet your Homeroom Teacher . I was about to ask you but you suddenly left immediately . "

"Ah . . . " How embarrassing! She screams inside her head . "Okay, master . . . this way . " she turns around and resumes her steps .

She was blushing much, not to mention they have a lot of audiences . What are her schoolmates gonna think? She wanted to run to hid her embarrassment inside her classroom .

Cassie introduced Mr . Ken Chan her Homeroom Teacher to her Master Shun .

The two men bow shaking hands .

"Please to meet you, Mr . Chan . . . "

"The pleasure is mine Mr . Crow . " The forty years old teacher holding Shun's hand with his both hands and keep it shaking .

Cassie cough . The teacher now then releases Shun's hand but continued bowing .

"I am Cassandra's guardian from now on," Shun stated .

"If anything that concerns her, just don't hesitate to tell me . "

"Ah . I see . " the teacher laughs .

"Miss Cassandra is a very excellent pupil, nothing you have to worry, Mr . Crow!"

"That's great to hear, Mr . Chan . . . And I am also hoping that aside of that, you'll let me know of other things that happen . "

"Ah! You are talking about concerning the treatment of Miss Cassandra? You don't have to worry Mr . Crow . Everyone is good for her . Her father is a very remarkable one!"

The teacher complimenting her late dad . Though she often heard someone praising her dad, still this made her heart proud and happy .

Shun glance at her and smiled . Bell for the first period now rang, and so the other students run to their respective classrooms .

"Hoy! I always tell all of you that no one should be running in the hallway!" Teacher Ken yelling at other students but they just ignore him . Poor teacher Ken .

"I'm sorry about that, Mr . Crow . . . "

"Ah, no problem . Time for me to go ahead now for my meeting . "

"I see . Thank you for visiting Mr . Crow . " Teacher Ken bowed .

"Ah, it's a small thing . "

"Goodbye, Mr . Crow . "

Shun nodded then looking at Cassie . "See you later . "

"Yes, Master . Goodbye . " She wanted to add 'have a good day' but she felt a bit awkward . There's still no familiarity between them even if Shun announced he was her guardian .

"Goodbye, Cassie . "
