Chapter 5

CASSIE'S POV

An alarm clock sound digging inside her ears . "Ah, I have school . " she murmurs . What time did she fall asleep last night? She's been thinking about her conversation with Shun last night, more to say now he is her master from now on .

Could she just accept it? They still have an unclear agreement of her stay, although it will benefit her to stay on the island where she had full of happy memories with her parents, she no longer owns the house . She is just a mere errand of someone . . . even though Shun mentioned about her college, but what for? What is his true motive?

Ah . She needs to go to school first! She hurried to take a shower then wore here PE uniform because of what happened yesterday, she forgot to wash her school uniform and the extra one .

She went to the kitchen after finishing getting ready for school just to surprise seeing auntie Ling . Oh, that's right . From now on, they will start working full time which she's not used to yet . Every day, she'll cook only for herself before going to school . . . she'll prepare more for her aunt Lydia and Mimie, then will come back during lunch to prepare their food when the two decided to come home on the island .

That's right . She's already been a maid by someone else before Shun came . She has more heavy household chores than what Shun instructing her to do by serving him every time he's on the island . . . with auntie Ling and uncle Jong, it lessens her works now .

She's eating quietly when a group of men entered the house accompanied by Mr . Rudolf and they went straight to the second floor of the house . Before she could ask, auntie Ling told her that the boss will be going to auction all the stuff from the two bedrooms owned by Lydia and Mimie .

Auntie Ling added that Shun told Mr . Rudolf to wait until she woke up for not to disturb her sleep . She got shocked once more how Shun gives consideration towards her . Why he's giving her so much favor when she was just his personal maid now? Right, the correct word of her status right now is being his 'personal maid', that doesn't sound conservative on her ears .

After finishing her breakfast and settled herself on her bike, one of Shun's men blocked the driveway .

"Miss, boss instructed us to send you to school by car . Please step out from your bike and get in the car . " said by a huge man politely .

"The school is not that far, I'll be okay going on my bike . Tell your boss I appreciate the thought but he should not bother about it . " After saying it, she began pedaling and left the huge man scratching his head . It won't be good for her classmates to see her ride by someone's car to school . . . that would be a huge talk especially the car was too intimidating . No rich man in the island owns that kind of Mercedes Benz .

Cassie is like a free butterfly while pedaling her bike . The sun is soft on her skin . The morning breeze helping her calm . The ocean was still quite this early of the morning . The island has its peace . She falls in love on this island as well . . . She doesn't want to be apart from it again . The people are kind, helping each other is the main purpose of existence . They shared small things to each other don't mind nothing have left for them . Everyone trying to survive but did not forget to help other people . No wonder her dad fell in love with this island .

She was used to having a knock on her door then seeing someone giving her fresh fish, fresh vegetable and spices or a freshly cooked pork stew or a chicken . Now to think of it, her life was always good regardless of what happens to her parents . Even she turn to be orphaned, there are still many good things happens to her until . . . she was actually betrayed .

Cassie looks at her Fushigi Yuugi's wrist watch, she still has more time before the first class period will start . She glances at the watch one more time before she took a right turn away from the main road .

That's right, the watch is given by her uncle assigned her 15th birthday gift when they visited Japan . She was looking at it through the store window . After learning that her uncle stealing from her, she can't completely hate him . Maybe she's just a complete innocent or because her uncle shows too much kindness that made her blind of what's going on . At least, he did not abandon her in the street . . . but her aunt Lydia and Mimie . When her uncle died, they slowly changed a lot and become cold towards her . They made her their slaves when no one is around . Even though, she still wishes they are in good hands wherever they are now .

Cassie stopped pedaling and observe the busy people in the distance . She was hearing rumors about a resort building soon, just next to her father's man-made forest . Who have thought it was that man name Shun Crow who owns it . She learned he's just 30 years old but already achieved so much .

If ever her brother still alive, Shun and her brother were the same age . She wonders, what kind of life she has if her brother stayed?

She continued watching the men below when Shun turn around and their eyes met . Caught in the moment, something racing inside her chest . To her surprise, she suddenly starts pedaling her bike and left as fast as she could .

She thought she'll be safe after arriving at the school but she was stormed with questions and curiosity about the handsome men staying at her villa . This island is small to not heard anything .

SHUN'S POV

Waking up in a room he's not familiar, Shun recollects his memory . That's right, he was in the Hiryuu Island and now staying at Young Villa after he bought it . Right when he heard the rumor that the house and the whole property was for sale, he right away runs an investigation . When he learned the truth, he set up a trap against Lydia who's the mastermind of all scamming of the Young properties .

He introduced himself as the owner of the hotel and resort building soon nearby . The woman right away showing interest until she openly said she will going to sell the Man-made forest as no one takes care of it anymore . He pretended he did not know that the property was about to take be the bank . The woman knew it but still try to sell it away . She thinks she's way smarter .

Shun makes the agreement of him paying 25% as partial payment then the rest he will pay the next month . The woman signs the papers right away giving him valid evidence how she made multiple selling the properties using the same legal documents . He learned that one of her partners of the scheme was the very manager of a bank . They could get access to the collateral documents and used to make another loan to another bank .

Shun suspecting the mother and daughter will right away leave the island after wiring the money but he already sent his men to hold them from leaving .

In front of her, he revealed all her scheme and has strong evidence and records that enough to imprison her for her entire life unless they'll be surrendered by their own .

Peacefully, Kier escorted the mother and daughter by a helicopter to surrendered to the police to admit their crimes . Shun carefully not revealing anything to Cassie that her aunt Lydia and Mimie was now paying their sins and they will never get near her or step on this island again . He'll make sure of that .

After taking a shower and get dress into a casual t-shirt and jeans, he went to the kitchen to make his breakfast . The sun is about to rise, he thought .

"Oh, good morning boss . " Aunt Ling greeted him . "I will make your coffee right away . " the woman offers .

"Okay, auntie Ling . Thank you . " Shun pull one of the chairs and sit . Not long ago, Rudolf appeared in the Kitchen yawning and went straight to the fridge . He pulls out the water pitcher then take a full glass of cold water . After he put away the glass and pitcher, he took the seat across to Shun then rest his head on the table .

"Have you sleep late again last night? This place has a bad connection, you should limit your self from playing online games with your age . " Shun scolded him .

Auntie Ling listens to the men casually talking in the table like they're not boss and employee but good friends or like brothers .

"What? I stayed up all night reviewing some documents that not my assignment . " Rudolf stretching his arms . "Am just showing an extra consideration here . "

Shun chuckled . "Okay . Expect for a bonus . Do you ever see me abusing my men?"

Rudolf grin . Shun and he are good friends since High School . Although separated during College, they still set a meeting along with Kier and Daichi to hang out and do normal boys do .

Auntie Ling place their breakfast when Daichi arrived from running outside . "Ah so good running around this island because the air was so fresh! You both should run often," he told the two men in front of him who's take a glance at each other .

"You, right away dig in just a moment you arrived? You don't even wash your hands!" Rudolf scolded Daichi and grab his ear towards the sink . Shun shook his head and start eating .

Auntie Ling enjoyed the view . When these men arrived at the house, although their deadly aura spilling out their body, she could feel good energy from these men . Looks they enjoy teasing each other but doing a serious job once the time of work hours .

"Rudolf . . . have you already gathered the people we need?" Shun asked .

"Yes, boss . They arrive at the port already and will on their way here . " Rodulf replied .

"Okay . " Shun stop eating then look up to search auntie Ling . "Auntie Ling, what time Cassie usually woke up?" he asked the middle-aged woman .

Auntie Ling come out from behind the counter, "She usually wakes up by six in the morning . " she answered .

"Okay, thank you auntie Ling . " he nodded to the woman . "Rodulf, began the packing after Cassie woke up . "

"Alright, understood . "

Shun and Daichi left the house before Cassie come down, that's around 6:30 in the morning . . . They went to the site to have a meeting with the engineers, architect, planners and all higher ups he needs to build his own hotel and resort .

Past seven o'clock when he felt someone is staring at his back . He turns around and found Casey on her bike . . . He was surprised at first because he instructed Jing to drive Cassie to school . Looks the young lady refused it .

He saw Cassie startled once their eyes met . He smiles at her but she left the area without looking back . He noticed that she's scared of him . She even thinks he would kill a person . He sighed .

"Ahem . . . cough . . . cough . " Daichi pretended something bothering his throat . Shun understood what he's trying to give signs .

Shun glances at the faces of the people in front of him who's now dropped their mouth on the ground . He Can't blame them . They knew him as a person with a poker face and they already witness his angry state when a fault happens during the building of the Peninsula Glass Garden Castle incident . That's why everyone is very careful every time have to work with him .
