Chapter 92




Rudolf heard a knock on his office door . He glances at the guy but did not say a word .

Shun leans on the door panel of his office . "Let's go to the gym," he said afterward before he left and march towards the elevator .

Rudolf sighed . He sits up and went down to his suite and change into a sports outfit . Shun was already in the gym when he arrives, while Meisha and Kier watch them with a very serious expression .

He sighed then stand next to Shun . He glances at his right gloves and waited…

Meisha and Kier just watched them silently . Shun and Rudolf now began of throwing punches at the same time, hitting the bag as heavier as they could give a blow .

This is their ways when they are angry or mad . Instead of punching each other's face, they vented their anger towards the punching bags, together .

After half an hour of nonstop throwing punches, both of them stopped . Shun and Rudolf seated on a long bench and resting their back on the wall, both catching their breath .

None of them want to break the silence . Shun freed himself from the gloves and Rudolf did the same . Later on, Shun stretched his left knuckle towards Rudolf .

Rudolf raises his right knuckle and knocked to Shun .



"I'm sorry," Shun speak .

"Yeah…" he answered . He heard Shun heaved a deep sighed . He understands him being wary right now about everything .

"I shouldn't have said it . I know, even if you like her, you wouldn't betray me . " Shun said .

"I love her like as a sister of my own, nothing else," he said afterward . "I care for her, that's why I don't agree with everything you wanted to do for her . "

"Especially, when am seeing you overdoing it," he added .

"I guess, I really did," Shun admitted .

Meisha and Kier wish to listen to what those two talking about, but they just let them have a one on one talk .

"I already know how overprotective you are to her since our first meeting . You don't want anyone to touch her . But she has her own life, you shouldn't take that away from her even how much you love her . She still has her freedom . "

"I understand what you are talking about," Shun told him . He clasped his hands and rested his elbow on his knees .

"You already heard the story of Five Families, right?"



"Yes . " Rudolf nodded .

"It keeps repeating . I don't want to believe it and it is just a tragic fairytale, but why it is always involving my family and the others?" Shun more like talking to himself rather of asking a question to Rudolf .

"I don't know . My Chinese ancestors believe in reincarnation, curses, ghosts love, etc . "

"If it is true, then I have to find a way to end this unending tragic love story cursed," Shun paused a moment to think .

"Larry seems has no problem after he falls in love with Loura . I will talk to him to find out, may have true records about the origin . There has to be . "


"I'll use ATHENA also to gather information through the web . But, how do you plan to deal with the younger Montfort? He is proof of that Entangled Life of an ill-fated destiny . "

"I have to think more carefully that it won't end like Edward Montfort . "

Shun did not reply to him . Is it true, that he was doing what Edward Montfort does to his mother? But he is not Edward Montfort . He is keeping Cassandra away from the world because her life is in danger . He is angry at Levi because he is helping her to find him, as Quinn Williams . He heaved a deep sigh . He felt Rudolf's hand patted his shoulder .



"Shun, you skip your shots," he said .

He glances at Rudolf but chooses not to answer .

"Just tell Cassie you have a couple of days business trip . You don't have to worry, we will watch over her . "

Two days . . . is enough to endure the pain but not seeing Cassandra is much painful . Shun thought .

"Derek has been calling everyone because you are not following your medication schedules," Rudolf reminding him .

"Let's settle all my appointment first," he said afterward .

"You better to take care of your body more than before . "

"I know, I already abused it for two years I mourned . " Yes, he's been drowning himself with alcohol, and that causes few complications of his medication . He is now paying the price .

The rest of the day ended in exhaustion . They have been home late and as expected, Daichi been waiting in the patio with an unpleasant expression . Meisha and Kier slap their back and said, "good luck" .

May Daichi is noisy among them, but he is the one who cares most of their friendship . They followed him in the library and bear his loud voice, their ears ringing from his scolding forgetting who he lectures to, none other than is his boss .

Finally, Daichi is done . They went to their bedroom feeling the exhaustion increased from his lecture .

Shun walk closer to the bed and watch Cassie's sleeping face . He combs her hair and planted a kiss on her forehead . He left the bedroom to take a shower to his own room .

He slowly climbs the bed, careful not to wake her up . It's been late but he wanted to watch her all night . He lightly caresses her face and she felt his warmth .

"You're home?" Cassie asked him with her cute sleepy voice, stays closing her eyes .

"Yeah, I have to finish countless meetings today . Am sorry am not home for dinner . "

"It's okay . . . " Cassie grabs his arm and hugs it . She seems not contented and she moves closer to him . She put her arms around him and rested her head on his shoulder .

He smiled . He put his arms around her and holds her tight .

"I love you . . . " he whispered .

Cassie opens her eyes and caught that few tears that escape from his eyes . Confused but she dried them and planted kisses on them . They sealed the night with a lovingly kiss .
