"Quinn, are you really certain about this?" Hannah asks him again .

He nodded . "Yes, mama . " He tried to hide his tears .

"Mama, even if I am not your son anymore, can I still calls you, Mama?"

"Of course! No matter what, you can always call me, Mama . " Hannah embraces him tightly, he hugs her back .

Quinn glance at Rudolf and Dr . Helen who also bid goodbyes . Rudolf will be staying with the Young's while Dr . Helen will accompany him throughout his medication .

"Uhm, be good to her . " He seriously talks at him .

"Of course, you don't need to say that . I'll babysit her . "

Quinn stretched his hand, Rudolf is a bit surprised but accept his hand for a handshake .

"Cassandra, say bye-bye to brother Quinn . "

"Bye-bye," Cassandra said shyly .

"I'll come back . "

"Take care always, Quinn . Take care of yourself . " Hannah said .

"They are now waiting," Landon told him . "Be a good boy . "



"Be strong, okay? We are waiting for your return . "

"Yes, papa . " Landon messed up his hair before he hugs him right .

"Cassandra," he planted a kiss to her cheeks .

"Quinn!" Cassandra began crying . He now began crying as well .

He tries not to look back, he might change his mind . He doesn't want to be parted with her . . . and Quinn cries all the way to New York .

Upon arriving in the state, he underwent a lot of tests and prepared for his surgery, then his medication .

He was grateful Dr . Helen was there to encourage him and he bears the pain . . . he was determined to live .

Now, one year and a half had passed after his successful surgery . Dr . Helen told him that he was in a coma for a year, but the doctors never give up hope as his heart continued beating .

Said, Dr . Williams did everything to develop the medicine he is making . Slowly, his body has been accepting that medicine, and he is showing stableness than before . They did have many attempts to give him different medicines, but this one only shows the stability of his body .

Quinn stared at the ceiling of his room . Then, almost two years had passed? And it means, he will be 16 years old soon, then Cassandra will be four?

Ah… he was still in New York, he can't see them or they can't visit him .

Several months had passed and he celebrated his 16th birthday . Doctor Helen brought a cake and allows him to eat a small portion . He is kind of understands that everything they give him is part of the experiment if his body has a reaction .

As each day passes, the medical equipment that connected to his body is now one by one taking away . He began to make a slow and short step using forearm crutches until he made a distance walk in the hallway outside of his room .



One day, he saw Dr . Helen and Dr . Williams entered a room . He ignores them until he passes by that room . He has no plans on eavesdropping but he was surprised with the topic they've discussed .


"Dr . Helen, Chairman Crow has visited the Mainland City, I am sending you to meet him tonight at Empire Dragon Hotel and do the report of Quinn's development . "

"Alright, understood, doctor Williams . "

"A car will bring you there . " Dr . Williams and Dr . Helen continued talking .

"What are you talking about?"

"Quinn!" Both of them have a bit shocked to see him .

"I want you to tell me, where are we!? Are we just nearby in Mainland City!?"

"Quinn, calm down, okay?" Dr . Helen tries to calm him down .

"Tell me where are we!? Are all these years, we only just here in Mainland City!?"

"I'll call the Security, " Dr . Williams said and quickly pick up the phone .

"Quinn, calm down for now . Let's talk, okay?"

"You are a liar, Dr . Helen!"



"Quinn…"

Not long after, the Security arrives and holds him . He tried to strangled but he felt a needle injected somewhere on his body and he slowly out of consciousness .

He woke up the next day and hatred overwhelms him . He wanted to ask a lot of questions about the Young's . Why they never visit him if this facility when it was just within the Mainland City?

Quinn heard the door opens and he could felt that it was Dr . Helen who entered his room .

"Quinn? I know you are angry at me now . I also knew you have so many questions . " Helen inhales a deep sighed .

"After your operation and in a coma, you were transferred here for better equipment . I mean, you are like a dead body, most of your organs are dying, but your heart… somehow, miraculously, you're heart keep fighting like telling us you wanted to live . We saw no complications with your heart, that is why we saw hope . Doctor Williams never give up on you . "

Hearing this did not change the fact that they lied to him .

"And about the Young family, they were prohibited to visit you . "

"Why?" He angrily asked Dr . Helen .

"It is part of the agreement we signed on . This facility will do everything to cure you and let you live . But in return, the Young should give up on you completely . "

"What does that mean!? How dare all of you!"

"Quinn, listen to me . Please calm down and listen to me . "

He felt Dr . Helen put a piece something on his hand .

"Listen, Quinn, if you wanted to see them again, stay strong . Get your strength back and shows you want to live . So behave and followed whatever they like you to do, for now . "

"Let us cure you and live, Quinn . When the right time comes, go and see them again . Just endure you can't see them for now, with your current conditions, nothing you could do . Earn your freedom . Okay?"

Before Doctor Helen left, she whispered something .

"I received this from Kier, you remember him? Someone who gives it to Rudolf . "

Quinn learns, Dr . Helen was forbidden to see her son so she never gets out as well . He's getting angry now but hid it .

After Doctor Helen close the door, he covered himself with a blanket and check out the paper she gives him . No . It's not a paper, it was a picture .

He cried . The person in the photo is none other than was Cassandra . She is four now . In the photo, she was like going to school… on her back is a pink butterfly backpack .

But the background caught his attention . Looks like, they took down the old house and they build a new one and it's going to be a big house .

He flips the photo and he found a handwritten by someone who just learned to write .

"Fighting, Quinn!"

"We'll meet again . "

He cried all day through the night…
