“This is Vice Director Huo, she’s a doctor of authority,” the nurse introduced.

The old woman looked slightly more pleased when she heard that Huo Mian was the vice director.

Huo Mian paid her no mind, she approached the bed and looked at the woman in delivery.

She observed her heart rate and blood pressure and found that it was going up.

“Are you okay?” Huo Mian held the woman’s hand and softly asked.

Before she could say anything, her mother-in-law blew up.

“What do you think you are doing? We said no surgery. You guys just want to scam us out of our money. It’s so many times more expensive than natural birth. Don’t you dare touch her, you’re trying to scam us, you heartless doctors! We want a natural birth.”

“Judging by her current condition, a natural delivery will put her life in grave danger,” Huo Mian explained.

The woman nodded again.

“Xiaorong, notify Doctor Zhao to prepare for surgery. I am wheeling her there myself.”

“Why are you still standing here? Go and stop that woman…” the old woman was agitated and yelled at her son.
