Blue Sea had a regrettable expression. “Since this is my first time meeting with Sir Cloud Billow, I would truly love to have a long conversation with you deep into the night, but you have other matters to attend to.”

He suddenly clapped his hands and said, “I have a proposition I would like to suggest. If the Clan Elder’s matter is not a secret, how about inviting him to the City Lord Mansion for a meeting? Since everyone is gathered here today, this will be a great opportunity.”

Blue Sea’s current meaning was that the old King’s lineage needed to put forth sufficient sincerity. It would only be considered enough if both the Clan Elder and Cloud Billow were here.

Cloud Billow was surprised again. She thought that things were proceeding far too smoothly. The old King’s lineage hadn’t had much contact with this newly risen Adversity Peak City Lord.

But in this situation, as long as Blue Sea expressed his stance he could no longer go back on his word…this was a chance she couldn’t miss out on.

Should she really ask the Clan Elder to come?

Blue Sea’s eyes flashed with a sharp light, but he actually showed concern on his face. “Sir Cloud Billow, what is it?”

As he spoke he moved forward as if to support her. The changing emotions on his face were perfect. Anybody that saw him would think that the City Lord was worried about Cloud Billow’s condition and wished to help him.

“City Lord, please stop!” The other demons from Bluetile Courtyard who had followed Cloud Billow to the banquet immediately moved in front of her.

Although they had no idea what was going on right now, in such a situation they couldn’t allow anyone to easily approach Cloud Billow.

Cloud Billow clenched her teeth and gritted out, “I’m fine. It’s just a remnant wound from the attack at Nine Nether Pagoda…I will bid my farewells here first…”

She turned to leave.

Blue Sea frowned. “Sir Cloud Billow is my honored guest. If an accident happens at the banquet, that is the responsibility of the City Lord! I don’t think this is an outbreak of an old wound, but rather the effects of an extremely terrifying demon poison!” As he spoke a cold chill percolated in his eyes as he swept over the demons from Bluetile Courtyard. “You fools, hurry and draw back! If treatment is delayed, no one can bear this responsibility!”

As he spoke he flicked his sleeves, sending several people flying away. He raised a hand and grasped forward.

Cloud Billow’s lips moved. But before she could speak, an invisible strength imprisoned her. As she looked at Blue Sea who grabbed her, despair rose in her heart.

Everything that happened today was a trap aimed at her. Blue Sea’s performance had indeed confused and entranced her. In fact, even all the people in the hall firmly believed that Blue Sea would stand behind the old King’s lineage after what he said.

But what if something happened to the old King’s lineage? Or to be exact, once her true status was exposed, everything that Blue Sea said before could be taken back.
