Right after saying that, he tugs his horse to charge at a kneeling Lithuvar man and cuts him up with his sword.

The men around Tallmann have a different atmosphere around them compared to the others.
The ones I’ve encountered so far were all crazy, maniacal murderers…… but, these guys are all happy-go-lucky while slaughtering people.
I don’t get it why they’re doing this, and it’s making me mad.

They’re quite far…… but, I’m sure I can still hit.

Tallmann stops his horse, turns around and says aloud.

“Pardon me, Your Excellency!”

One of the men pushes Tallmann aside.
Tallmann gets thrown off of his horse.
The man who pushed Tallmann quickly gets away.

Tallmann’s horse gets sliced in half and a loud boom is heard when the wind blade hits the ground.
Tallmann didn’t come out unscathed from that and he got his shoulder scratched and his cape ripped.
The cut wasn’t shallow, but it wasn’t fatal either.

That Tallmann guy, he clearly has a different vibe compared to the others.
Is he some sort of big wig in this army?

Since their main army is here, I want to hurry and take them all out, but first, I have to get everyone’s attention and scare them away from the village.

The man who pushed Tallmann aside raises his sword.
Four lights float in the air, transforming into long, slender, red dragons.
The man then holds Tallmann’s shoulder and carries him on one of the dragons.

“…… Lord Tallmann was injured because of my incompetency. We will temporarily retreat. Do whatever it takes to distract that dragon.”

The man commands the troops and they nod as he rides on the dragon and fly away.
That dragon…… its speed is lower than mine but it’s still relatively fast.
The other three fly towards me, raising their altitude.

Two get hit, spurting out blood and falling from the sky, but the other one skillfully dodges the wind blade by spinning in mid-air.

…… The dragon carrying the pale-looking man and Tallmann have already flown far enough that they’re too small to see in the distance now.
Those guys…… they’re good at making quick decisions.
They decided that I wouldn’t be something they can easily beat, and that’s why they distracted me with those wyverns to buy time so they could escape.
I feel like I just let the nastiest man in this army go.
I should’ve checked his status while I had the chance.
With my speed, I can still catch up to them, but…… I can’t leave the village as it is, now that it’s turned into a warzone.

I heard screaming near the village walls.
Someone from another squad just arrived, all bloodied up.

“O-On our way to the village, we encountered a small Lithuvar child, and-…… we, we were annihilated”

“A child?! You’re saying a child took down an entire squadron?!”

Wait, could that child be…… Alo?
…… Did that girl intercept one of the enemies that went to attack from another direction?

“T-That’s not all. That child was using magic we’ve never seen before…… and, we also received report that another squad was attacked by an unknown spider monster. As for the child, when it saw Azalea-sama’s wyvern, she followed after them……”

“Heh, if they were weak enough to be toyed by a mere child, they should’ve fought till the very end”

…… Alo is chasing after the wyvern that escaped?
That means those two are probably this army’s highest appointed members.
If I stop them, then this whole fight will be as good as over.
Alo made the right choice following that wyvern, and since she’s being led away from the village, the villagers won’t see her yet and there won’t be confusion.
However, she’s up against someone who can summon a rank C monster…… that Azalea, or whoever he is, will be a tough match for her.

I’m sure she can inflict some decent amount of damage, but I’m not sure if she’ll be able to beat him by herself.
If only she has self-healing skills like me, I wouldn’t have to worry like this.

Even the horse he's mounting on is different from the other cavalry.
It's a huge black horse with ridiculously thick legs.
