The stench of rot grew more intense with each passing moment,

Al was panting hard, Every breath brought pain. He wiped the sweat from his forehead, but it was so wet that it did little good. He was getting tired, especially since he only had one hand to work with.

At times like this, I miss the other...

He managed to cut Capella's face in half, but that didn't stop her from speaking.

- Usually, when my opponent realizes he's not going to kill me, he falls into black despair. But here you are, still fighting! And the sweat! Ah, male sweat has always turned me on! - she sneered at his efforts. She put her hands on her head to keep it in place. A red smoke rose from the wound, then in a split second the face grew together and Capella was as good as new.

Al had killed her twenty times before, but she came back to life easily each time. The floor was strewn with black stains left by the now unwanted body parts. It was from them that the suffocating stench of decay wafted. And the Archbishop only laughed.

- So what, do you think you'll actually kill me one time?

- I doubt it. I think I could die a hundred times and still not get rid of you. But haven't you by any chance forgotten something? - he answered provocatively.

Capella looked at him puzzled. He pointed to the hole above their heads with his sword.

- You came here to mess with us, but weren't you surprised that we were so well prepared? You really think I invented this? I'm just here to buy time. The longer you stand here, the more likely it is to end badly for you. If anything, this is the best time to get out. I'm just saying.

Capella remained silent, carefully considering his words. She shrugged her shoulders.

- So what? I just told you we're extending this on purpose. You're not gonna do anything? You're gonna get hit so hard you won't get up again!

- Come on, then! Come on!

- Huh?

- I told you. I've been waiting for this attack. Now that you've made all the arrangements to welcome me... ...you did it all for me! For me! I couldn't let all that effort go to waste.

- Wait, wait, wait. Oh, really? Do you really want to die? It hurts... Everyone's afraid of dying. Especially at first. Let it go. The final blow should come from someone special!

- You choose such words especially for me! Ah! - cried Capella excitedly. Her eyes were shining and she was smiling delightfully. Apparently she understood the whole situation completely wrong. Suddenly her face faded.

- You didn't lie to me, did you? I wouldn't forgive you! - It began to change again. It grew into a large, black, irregular shape that began to fill the entire underground room, covered in scales....

- Oh, I see. Dragoness," Al muttered.

Indeed, Capella turned into a black, winged reptile.

- Shit... I'm the Sacrifice this time... - snorted the knight.

- So tell me... How would you like me? - she asked like a girl addressing her lover. By the way she covered Al with her stinking breath.

- I guess we're both of those whose parents advised them to choose their friends better," he muttered, shaking his head. - If that's the case, I don't think we'll be friends.

Al deftly turned the Blue Dragon Blade in his hand and slid it back into its scabbard. Now his only hand was free, which he immediately used to show Capella the middle finger. She, of course, did not understand exactly what the gesture meant, but she immediately sensed that she had been insulted.

- What you....

- I don't love anyone! - announced Al hoarsely, then immediately began to utter a spell. His next attack was not aimed at Capella, but at a pillar in the corner of the room. As it collapsed under the effect of the magic, the ceiling began to fall.

- Ha! So it is a trap after all! - muttered the Archbishop, looking at the collapsing vault.

- We have prepared ourselves very carefully indeed. Especially with you in mind, but not for love," he announced, and then he jumped into a crack in the wall, from behind which came the sound of water. He pushed his way through and was carried away by the underground current.

The dragon-transformed Capella was too big to follow.

- Oh, especially for me! It is love after all! - whispered the reptile, and then its snout reddened slightly. It was a truly remarkable sight, but unfortunately no one saw it again. A second later, everything disappeared under the rubble of the building, crumbling like a house of cards.
