Chapter 690

Pagoda Master felt something immediately; he had goosebumps all over and when he looked up, he saw a ray that was heading straight at him .

Why is this ray giving me a feeling that it would destroy everything?

That ray locked onto Pagoda Master and no matter how he reacted, he felt that he would not be able to escape!

Left with no choice, Pagoda Master let out a shout and pushed his strength to his limits as he hurled spells onto the ray . His followers were still performing the blood ritual which had his strength maintained at the Heavenly Deity level, allowing him to do things he wouldn’t be able to do with his usual strength; his spells merged together in midair, turning into a great wall with totem patterns all over as it hung straight up in the skies .

The Pagoda Master did not stop just right there; he continued to summon walls from the ground and in an instant, countless walls stood in between him and the incoming ray .

However, before he could even feel relieved, the walls burst apart and the ray was already in front of his face . In the ray was a strange looking weapon and when the weapon got to the front of his face, his vision was entirely filled up by this weapon .

The Pagoda Master roared loudly and he pushed his palms forward .

However, whatever he did failed to save him; the spinning awl tore him into pieces and everything aspect of his being — totem patterns, energy, body, Yuan Shen, and soul — were eradicated!

Far away, Zhong Yue lost his balance and fell onto the ground as he depleted everything in this last attack .

The young man stopped walking towards him after he closed in for some distance and he looked at Zhong Yue with wary and admiration in his eyes, “I came here to warn you, Brother Zhong . You have successfully become one of the top ten in the Prison Realm, destined to represent our Prison Realm in the major battle . So why the need to continue killing?”

With a serious expression, he said again, “If you stopped killing so much, you will have less tragedy in your life . You have already killed so much and in the future at some point, there would be a period of time where strong Qi Practitioners would stop appearing . If you continued to kill, the gods in the Prison Realm will not sit back and watch anymore . ”

Before Yu Bochuan could even finish talking, the skies shook and another young man could be seen walking towards them .

Zhong Yue’s heart thumped again and he greeted, “Brother Li . ”

That new comer was Li Tianxing and he greeted back at Zhong Yue .

Suddenly, another light flew towards them like a meteor and it landed at the side of Li Tianxing . It was a lady dressed in male attire .

“Senior Martial Sister Wudao . ” Zhong Yue greeted with a heavy heart .

She greeted back at Zhong Yue and remained silent .

Then, another light landed onto the mountain and it turned into a young man but Zhong Yue’s heart sank to the bottom as he greeted again, “King Geng . ”

“Brother Zhong . ” replied King Geng .

Suddenly, another two lights landed not far away and they turned into two young man with golden hairs . This time, instead of becoming even more worried and stressed, Zhong Yue felt slightly more relieved .

“Senior Martial Brother Bi and An . ”

“Brother Zhong . ”

Then, another person arrived and this time, it was Shu Ye .

In just a short time, the best of the best within the Prison Realm has gathered around here and they surrounded the mountain Zhong Yue was standing on .

The atmosphere then became extremely quiet .

After a moment, Yu Bochuan laughed and said, “Dear senior martial brothers and senior martial sisters, we are here today not to fight, but to make peace . What do you think, Brother Zhong . ”

Yu Bochuan however, bursted out laughing and he said again, “How many do you think i have? I have only 1,700 yet I am among the top ten already . As far as I know, 2,000 is the most among the top ten already . ”

Hearing this, Li Tianxing took out his token as well and said calmly, “I have about 1500 in mine . ”

Jun Wudao took out hers, showed it to everyone and said, “I have slightly more than Brother Li, mine is 1600 . ”

“1500,” added Shu Ye .

Bi and An took out their token as well and said, “About the same . ”

“I have slightly less than all of you, I have only 1400,” added King Geng .

Yu Bochuan laughed and said again, “Do you believe me now? The other few are not here but I assure you that the starlight on their token are less than yours . The total starlight we collected is less than 20,000 and among us, you had the most starlight . ”

“How is that possible?” exclaimed Zhong Yue as this was completely out of his expectation .

With a shook, Yu Bochuan replied, “How is this not possible? Too many died in search of treasures throughout this time . At least 70,000 of us entered this place and among them, more than 4,000 of them died on the bridge and 40,000 of them died during their exploration!”

Zhong Yue was dumbfounded at the fact that there were only 30,000 survivors left!

And after deducting the amount of starlight, which is also the amount of Qi Practitioners killed by them, there were probably only 16,000 of them left!

“There were also at least some starlight in the soul token of the others . With that, could you imagine just how many of us left in this place?”

With a shake, Zhong Yue answered the question straightforwardly .

Yu Bochuan sighed and said, “Initially less than 10,000 and now, there are only about 7,000 of us left and among them, 2,000 lost their lives in your hands . ”

Suddenly, his tone changed from friendly to a slightly colder tone, “But if you persist on continuing your ruthless massacre, perhaps we might become your next target . ”

Zhong Yue’s heart tightened as he immediately understood what Yu Bochuan was trying to tell him .

If he continued his slaughter, he will render them no choice but to work together to remove him from the game because they couldn’t guarantee that Zhong Yue would not move against them!
