Ye Tianxin blushed.
She was wrong.
She should not have come with Li Qingcang to the Li family home without any prior preparations.

“Tianxin, I know that you are a good girl, and I want to acknowledge you as my goddaughter. If you encounter any troubles in the future, I will help you out,” Wu Tong offered. “Why don’t you think about this? It is getting late. Rest early.”
Wu Tong did not give Ye Tianxin a chance to say anything else.
She opened the door and slipped out quietly.
While Wu Tong was walking in the hallway, she saw Li Qingcang preparing to head upstairs. She called out to him hurriedly. “Son, it is already late. Tianxin is about to go to bed. Go to bed as well.”
Ye Tianxin looked around the room under the light. Li Qingcang’s room was filled with certificates and awards.
There were also some photos of him when he was younger. His young and lively self was perfectly captured by the camera.

His embrace was like the ocean.
But if she wanted to be with him, liking him was not enough.
He was an outstanding child, more so as an adult. She could only catch up with him if she stepped up her game.
He was so outstanding that she had to put in 120% to become the girl who could proudly stand by his side.
Ye Tianxin sniffled and looked at the moon outside the window. How could she just let this small problem set her back?
Elder Brother Li’s mother did not like her, but why would that matter?

Only Li Qingcang was downstairs in the living room.

Li Qingcang put down the newspaper and looked at Ye Tianxin. “Did you sleep well last night?”
“I slept very well.” Ye Tianxin walked up to Li Qingcang. “Elder Brother Li, I shall head off. I made plans with Elder Brother Jing to go and pick up my grandmother today.”
“I have already gotten Jing Zhichen to go and pick up Grandmother,” Li Qingcang informed her. “You have been exhausted from filming the movie. Why don’t you rest some more and I shall take you somewhere later?”
Ye Tianxin tilted her tiny face upwards and asked, “Where are we going?”
