“But what shall we eat for breakfast?” Ji Nuan spoke, somewhat annoyed. “The bread and the mineral water that we had last night had all been taken away.”
Everyone was shocked when they heard Ji Nuan. “How can it be? I only drank half of my water last night just for this!”
Ye Tianxin had already understood then that she was not the first person to wake up. Someone else had taken the food. This was getting interesting.
She had just said last night that everyone had to work together. In the end, someone had already taken the food away. This meant that someone wanted to drive a wedge between them and create conflicts.
“Ye Tianxin, you were the one who woke us up. Did you realize that someone had taken the food?” Yao Qinghan asked Ye Tianxin in a rather sweet tone.
The other four all turned to look at Ye Tianxin in unison.
“There was no food on the table when I woke up.”
“Since there’s no food, then forget it. Let’s find a way to make a fire so we can eat grilled fish later,” Ji Nuan suggested.
It was not difficult for them to find food.
They could eat their fill just by catching some fish and prawns.
“Someone took away the food while we were asleep,” Wei Weiwei stated. “It seems like there is someone from the other party among us. Say, Miss, I am sorry, but if you want us to point fingers at someone else, then you are mistaken. If there isn’t food, we can just go and find some ourselves. The food that you guys left us won’t last all six of us an entire week on this island anyway.”
Ji Nuan, who had been confused at first immediately understood. What she had said earlier was very likely to cause Ye Tianxin to be attacked by everyone else.
“Ye Tianxin, I wasn’t suspecting you.”
Ji Nuan was skilled at using her hands. She could dismantle anything that she got hold of.
Ever since she was three, she liked dismantling the television at home and assembling it again.
Shortly after, the electronics in her home could no longer satisfy her. She could only head to the automobile repair shop. She was naturally attracted to mechanics and had little to no interest in other things.
“Ji Nuan, can you make us some simple tools using vines or tree branches?”
“Sure. No problem. I’ll go around and see what I can find.”
Ye Tianxin patted Ji Nuan’s shoulder. “Then think about it. Yuluo and I will go and see if there is something useful in the cell.”
“Alright.”
“Then we shall go and look in other places as well.”
There were six of them, and they had all been searched before they were brought here.
Other than Mu Yuluo’s earphones that hung off her shoulders, the other six did not have anything else on them.
They did not have watches, jewelry, nor hair clips. Everything that could be helpful was taken away.
Ye Tianxin was the first to move. She headed to the cell where she slept. She looked up, making use of the tiny bit of light that streamed through the window.
“Ye Tianxin, do you really believe that there are cameras?”
Mu Yuluo looked around and did not see any cameras.
“Of course there will be.” Ye Tianxin was sure of it.
Ye Tianxin touched the walls. The walls were concrete and were a little rough.
“If they are trying to test us, then they will definitely place cameras here so that they can observe our every move.”
In the control room on a military base…
A chubby man walked into the control room.
He asked Shouhu who was seated in front of the screens, “How is it? How are the kittens performing?”
