Chapter 4 – God’s Hand

I arrived at the adventure guild, so that I could hand in the request and get the reward from it. So I headed to the reception desk that Millia was in front of.

[Millia-chan, do you know where I hand in the materials that I got from the request?]

[Yeah! If you want I could take from you to verify it with the quest requirements.]

It seems to be awkward when I refer to her by her first name, it’s such a confusing feeling.

After all, should I be calling her by her family name? No, it’s useless. It will help with my relationship with her at least a little bit. Yes, there is no ulterior motive behind it!

I started to take out all of the medical herbs that I have collect from the inventory and led it out in front of Millia, while thing about devious things.

[This is amazing. So much…]

[Well, I did my best just so that I could see surprise you!]

Feeling that I have said too much, I put the medical herbs on the tray in front of her.

[Then please wait here while I go and get the reward money from the back.]

Because there is no helping it… I waited for her to return.

After a while, Millia brought back the tray that was full of medical herbs before, now had silver coins and copper coins on it.

[There are 51 silver coins and 80 copper coin 80 pieces, because I handed in 518 pieces of medicinal herbs. I had never met someone who was able to bring this many medicinal herbs before.]

It’s the first time I have carry so many small coins. Though I think it’s inconvenient, I put the coin into my pocket.

How should I answer her question? I can’t said that I went to the green points on the map and collected them.

While think about it, I put the money into the purse that Millia gave me.

[Oh, when I enter the forest, I found an area where a lot of these medical herb grew and I collected all of the ones that I could see. More importantly, do you know a place where I can spend the night?]

Because I couldn’t come up with a proper excuse, so I changed the discussion.

[Yeah, there is a very good place called the Will Rabbit-tei which serve delicious food.]

[Uff, you saved me. I was worried that I would have to sleep outdoors]

It was good, that I managed to change the subject and I also got information about an Inn that I could stay at.

After get the direction to the Inn from Millia, I said my goodbyes and I exited the guild. Then I headed to the Inn that I was going to stay at.

In the Inn, there was an auntie who was energetic. She was sitting behind the counter when she notice me and stood up.

[Welcome! Are you going to stay the night? If you’re staying the night here when it is 10 silver coins, if you want it with breakfast and dinner then it is 12 silver]

[Oh, I heard that the food in this Inn was very delicious when I was introduced to your Inn, I would like to stay the night with breakfast and dinner, please.]

While saying so I placed 12 silver coins on the counter.

[Is it so?  Then you should thank the person who introduced you to me.]

[Okay]

The aunty started laughs and went to get something. This person also seem to be a very care person.

[You can get your meal at the dining room. Dinner is at sunset and breakfast is until 2 hours after sunrise.I shall lead you to your room.]

Seem the dining room of the glance when calling a dining room previously.  Surely a dining room will be there. (TN: 食堂と言った時の視線の先には食堂らしきところがある。)

While confirming the inside of the Inn, I try to keep up with the aunty.

[My name is Mia, if you have any problems call for me.]

[Thank you, Mia-san]

When we arrived at the room Mia introduced herself.

[Come down when in while because dinner should be ready. I will see you at the dinning room then. Here is your room key!]

[I’m looking forward to it.]

I got the key the Mia left while laughing and waving her hand, so I went into the room and sat on the bed.

[Well…..]

After I entered the room, I started think about all of think that happened today and what I was going to do in the future.

・ A method to earn money.

・ An aim and a purpose to live in this world.

・ A price investigation into equipment and confirmation of the performance.

・ What to do about party member?

・ Confirmation of the power that is able to me.

It is a thing same in all world, if you don’t have money then you can’t do anything.

I was able to get enough allowance of four days by collecting herbs for one day, but that isnt enough at all. Do I earn more if I increase the ranks?

To live in this world I need a goal or an objective.

I came into this world and hope that it is better than the other world.

If I want to enjoy living in this world, then I need to decide on a goal. And if I have an aim then it is easier to plan to enact it.

But to make a proper plan, I first need to know more about this world. I’ll have to ask Millia about it. Only then can I decide a goal for me.

Hopefully there is an armor shop? I should also ask Millia about the shop.

Because there was an option for the party member, I opened the party window, to see how much members I can have in a party. And it seems that I can have maybe 6 members.

However how do other adventurers form a party? I guess I could post a request to form a party in the guild.

I should also ask Millia about it.

You must check or check, you can manipulate far after status and inventory, is how much further. (TN: あとは、ステータスやインベントリなど、他にどのくらいあるのか調べて、どこまで操作できるのか確認する必要がある。)

Status, inventory, equipment, skills, party, quests, maps, time are already confirmed as being part of my ability.

What else can I recall that is in a game that I haven’t tried it out yet.

That reminds me my job was a villager at the beginning.

I became an adventurer when I enroll in the guild, but how can I change my job?

Kash and Mia weren’t villagers while Millia was the only villagers that I have met.

Maybe I have to do something to change jobs.

Because a job should have been added when I came to this world, I am worried about it.

Indeed the added job may not be the villager or the adventurer.

How do I change the jobs? A window came into view when I thought about change my jobs.

Jobs: M – Adventurer Level 3, S – Villager Level 1, Unknown Level 1

Oh, you mean that I can set my job by myself!

What is the M and S? Does it mean, main and sub?

And what is unknown?

It would be a job, maybe it was added. It may be the different world person certainly, professing Jin who would have no unknowns. (TN: 多分、これが追加されたジョブだろうな。確かに異世界人かもしれないが、アンノウンはないだろうよ、自称神。)

For now I imaged as unknown be the S, and then I tried to check the status.

Skill called the God’s Hand increase my physical strength and also increases the growth rate of the stats values. This is the unknown power!!!!!

When I was in the forest, I seem to be able to defeat the wild rabbits with just an offensive value of 37 with a single hit. And have these stat at Level 3 is already a cheat.

And then the God’s Hand skill comes to mind. I also wanted to confirm what the skill God’s Hand does.

……

Nothing in particular happened. It seems to be a passive skill, rather than an active skill. I’ll be careful for know.

Because I level up twice, there seem to be two points that I can allotted into the stats.

This is shaken now, It is scary later when thinking that it is not likely to be able to reset it. (TN: これは今振ってしまい、後でリセットができないかもしれないと思うと怖い。)

Therefore right now I will leave it as it is and will only use the status of level 3.

It should be alright to leave it as such for now.

After all, I need to ask Millia about a lot of things before I can make a decision. It because I have no knowledge about this world.

I seem to hungry so let’s head to the dining room and try out the food that was recommended by Millia.
