“Your mind is pretty sharp. The moment you heard that these ones with golden eyes have extraordinary value, you decided to kill them,” Fuchen said with a smile. It was not too long ago that Xia Fei had been advising him not to be rash, but now, the other was going to slaughter all these enemies. It must be because Fuchen’s reason had convinced him.

However, Xia Fei shook his head and said, “Value is only one of the considerations. What’s more important is the current situation. Look, all these warriors with golden eyes before us are resting. This is our chance! If we work together, killing one or two isn’t hard, but killing several dozen is very difficult. Only now will we have such an opportunity, and missing out on such a chance just isn’t my style.”

Fuchen shrugged. Xia Fei had remained calm and objective this whole time. He was cautious when it was time to be cautious and made a lethal assault when it was time to attack! This ability to react to the situation and this resolve to kill were precisely why Fuchen appreciated Xia Fei. He was one of those warriors who had both talent and formidable mental fortitude.

One minute later, the rest chamber of these Inverse with golden eyes became empty. Xia Fei and Fuchen beamed.

“We’re rich, rich! Forty-seven pairs of golden eyeballs for each of us are an enormous fortune,” Fuchen said as he stored the golden eyeballs in his spatial ring and chuckled.

This old monster, Fuchen, was a Great Spiritualist, so there must be a reason he valued the golden eyeballs so much. Although Fuchen was normally rather petty, always asking Xia Fei to pay his bills, Xia Fei knew that the old man actually did not care much about money. If the items in this old monster’s ring were sold, they would fetch an astronomical price!

Thus, he was not completely sure why Fuchen liked these golden eyeballs so much; still, it was not a bad idea to gather these things, which the old man valued so much, even if they could only be used to make Soul Eyes meant for defense.

Suddenly—

Just as the two were about to keep going, Xia Fei tottered for a moment.

“What’s wrong?” Fuchen asked in concern.

“Nirvana is getting stronger and stronger. After its recent advancement, it seems to have started sharing more energy with me. Maybe because I received too much energy at once or the golden eyes, but there’s some turmoil in my seventh brain region. Still, it’s no problem,” Xia Fei replied, shrugging.

Fuchen was confused. “These Inverse with golden eyes weren’t that strong. None of them had a Soul Mark or was capable of using dark energy; how can you be suffering from energy disorder now? Maybe it’s because you’re too sensitive to energy.”

“Maybe.”

“Right, what was the rank of that first one with golden eyes you fought with?” Fuchen asked suddenly.

Xia Fei shrugged. “He might have had six or more Soul Marks, a real expert. I had to go to some pretty great lengths to finally kill him.”

“That’s a little weird. These were all juvenile with golden eyes, but they didn’t seem all that different. It’s only when they actually attacked that we could tell they’re pretty weak.” Fuchen waved his hand and said, “Forget it. Let’s not think about these things and keep going.”

*Whoosh!*

The two left the rest area and traveled farther into the Inverse base.

A bizarre energy began to permeate their surroundings, and the place was frighteningly quiet! It was as if they had arrived at some mysterious deserted planet, which was devoid of life. There was only deathly stillness, with no signs of life!

Suddenly, Xia Fei grabbed Fuchen. He then strengthened his Breath Control to spread out a forcefield.

Xia Fei used his hand to tell Fuchen that he needed to be quiet, for there was strange movement up ahead.

Fuchen was unconvinced. He did not believe that Xia Fei was so sensitive he could sense danger before him.

It had been proven, time and time again, that Xia Fei rarely made mistakes. The farther they went, the louder the sound, and this was a very weird sound, like a mix of a rumbling machine and roaring beast!

Light appeared, the Inverse appeared, and a miracle appeared!

Xia Fei and Fuchen did not dare to believe their eyes. This enormous star, the size of several hundred suns, had actually been hollowed out! Its center was completely empty!

It had probably taken countless years for the Inverse to do so to this massive dead star, and even more unbelievable was that this massive space was being used to build a warship!

“It’s nearly done. Even the last layer of defensive armor on the outer shell is complete. Now, they’re in the middle of dismantling the aerial platforms used in construction. If my guess is right, the superwarship will be able to set out in two days,” Xia Fei said with a frown.

“You’re sure that this is a warship?” Fuchen asked. They were located at the very top of this enormous space, and from the top, this thing looked like a humongous spiked ball.

“It has to be. The Inverse have adopted a very clever design, distributing the engine across the entire ship, allowing it to move in any direction. It has no such thing as a prow or a stern.

“This carapace armor can withstand a lot of impact force, and the warship also has energy shields, allowing this warship’s defenses to reach absurd levels!” Xia Fei said with a frown.

“What about inside the ship?” Fuchen asked. He was no specialist, but he understood that a good ship was not just about its outer shell. It required powerful electronic systems and firepower to unleash its full power.

“I’m not sure about the interior, but from the exterior design, I can conjecture that the Inverse who designed this enormous ship wouldn’t neglect the interior parts. They have that ability at least,” Xia Fei said.

It was clear that the technology level of this warship was extremely high, even surpassing the production height of the Alpha Universe!

If the exterior was this good, the interior would not pose any difficulty to the Inverse. This super warship was extremely powerful.

Fuchen sighed. “If it can take flight in two days, I have to wonder, where is this superwarship bound for?”

He turned to look at Xia Fei, who had adopted a gloomy countenance at this point.

There was no doubt that if this warship set out, its first target would be the Law Realm!

That year, Xia Fei and his comrades in the Law Realm fought a desperate battle and repulsed the Inverse! These wicked lifeforms could not possibly have forgotten their grudge, and now that they had this universe-dominating warship, they would undoubtedly make the Cosmic Gate and the Law Realm behind it their first target!

Danger!

Unprecedented danger!

Xia Fei and the Law Realm had agreed to launch their coordinated assault in half a month, but it would be two days before this enormous ship took flight.

Xia Fei did not have Little Goldie at his side, so he had no way of communicating with the Law Realm. His comrades would be unable to know what sort of calamity they were about to face!

Xia Fei clenched his fists, his eyebrows rising as an unparalleled killing intent flashed in his eyes!

“We have to destroy this ship,” Xia Fei said grimly.

Fuchen shook his head and pointed at the Inverse below; they were like countless ants. “I have to say that you’re very impulsive, but if you and I charge in, we’ll basically be signing our death warrants. My scan has already picked up at least one thousand warriors who can use dark energy. This is probably the full combat might of the Inverse. We don’t have the ability to deal with this many high-level warriors.”

Two people challenging an entire race?! This idea was just too insane!

With an eerie smile on his lips, Xia Fei chortled.

Fuchen was right, but he had forgotten one important thing. While Xia Fei was normally a cold analyst, at times of danger, he could explode in insanity!

“Furball, follow me,” Xia Fei said coolly.

Furball was a Holy Beast, so he was born with incredible daring, and he charged right after Xia Fei without hesitation!

*Pa!*

Fuchen pulled Xia Fei back. As a Peak Spiritualist, a monster among Spiritualists, he was sweating hard, a clear sign of how nervous he felt inside.

“You had better have thought this through clearly!” Fuchen said solemnly.

Xia Fei was startled and then smiled. “I’m a madman, but I’m no fool. You need to trust me.”

Fuchen was surprised and then released his grip. Upon which, Xia Fei disappeared.

With a sigh, Fuchen contacted Ulan.

“There’s a problem.” Fuchen’s first sentence had Ulan shivering. Once the former explained everything that was going on with the Inverse, Ulan only felt his head starting to swell. Truly, their plans could not keep up with the situation. No one could have expected the Inverse to accumulate such enormous strength under the nose of the Alpha Universe.

“This truly is a problem. Xia Fei is the type of person who will abandon everything to protect his home. It seems that we’ll have to formally start the war with the Inverse within three days. You’re sure that the Inverse has more than a thousand Founders?” Ulan asked.

“I’m certain. I already performed a scan; that number isn’t an overestimation,” Fuchen replied gravely. The scan of a Great Spiritualist was much more accurate than that of a radar, but it had consumed quite a lot of Fuchen’s energy.

Ulan collapsed into the spacious captain’s chair of the Silver Specter, one hand massaging his head. What should have been a very simple pre-battle scouting mission ended up like this. Anyone would have been caught off guard.

“What’s your plan?” Ulan asked calmly.

Fuchen shrugged helplessly. “The problem right now isn’t what I plan to do but rather what Xia Fei plans to do. I saw the look in his eyes, and that boy is on the brink of insanity, so one can say for sure what he will do next.”

“Whew!”

Fuchen and Ulan sighed. It was so weird. Simple missions like this one would always become messy when Xia Fei was involved; now, these two peak Spiritualists had been caught up in it.

Back on the Silver Specter, everyone realized that Xia Fei had changed. That smiling and carefree young man was gone, replaced by a tense person who was brimming with killing intent.

“There’s no need to think it over! No one is allowed to touch my people! That’s my bottom line.” This was Xia Fei’s reply when Fuchen and Ulan tried to persuade him to rethink his course of action.

Ulan and Fuchen glanced at each other. No one could clearly stop this young man now.

“Then when do you plan to strike?” Ulan and Fuchen asked in unison.

Xia Fei looked at the time on the screen and answered, “The decisive battle will be sixty-five hours from now!”
